Fresh paint - you mean they destroyed the look of the original "legendary" building by painting black paint over beutiful natural wood?

From what I hear there isn't going to be much left to throw the towel in for. After what Joe Flores and Jim Hall did, and now Terri is stealing everything she can get her hands on and I heard Darel and Matt are taking her to the cleaners now too. So sad.

Funny, Mike had the place "filled" with "quality" people. But, can't expect an idiot bartender and some nobody from up north to know what the High Desert people want, or how to run a place "that" big.

it was filled because it was new and the anticipation of reopening the bull was running rampant. and he was comping free food every night and giving the leftovers away every night!! do you realize how much of a loss the place was running at with all the freebies?? the food was slow and wrong and not good, the service was atrotious. like i said, it was NEW. its still losing big money. in this economy, in this area, a place with that overhead wont be a money maker. period. anyone would have packed the place with all the advertising and anticipation the desert had. mike or no mike.

I don't understand why people are getting so worked up over a bar. They are two totally different bars with totally different atmosphere's. There is nothing wrong with preferring one over the other. Both are great places to go. It basically all boils down to...you going where you feel comfortable and where your friends are. I've said my peace. I wish both bars the best.
