Cocky Bull reopening this summer

We want this to be family-oriented, a place where you can bring your children. A landmark on Victorville 's frontier with Adelanto, the Cocky Bull restaurant and dance hall will reopen for business this summer. via Victorville Daily Press

Are you kidding me!!! This is GREAT news! In 1995 I started going there with family and friends. We were there every Friday. The Cocky Bull is a special place to us because of many happy memorie's. So much so that my husband and I got married there in 1996. Mike and Carole were there then. They are great people. And when the Cocky Bull closed we were ALL so sad. Because we thought that would be our special place to go after we were married. And after it closed and re-opened it just was not the same. All the country was gone out of it. We have kids now and they always say when we drive by. That's were you got married to daddy mommy. And I say yes. And they want to go inside but can't because it has been closed. But now with Mike and Carole back in the picture. It will be just like it is supposed to be 100% Country. We are so VERY excited and we can not wait to go back with our kid's. It will be nice to go inside that building again. And have a good time. We are looking very forward to July 7th. We hoped and prayed that the right owneds would re-open the Cocky Bull again some day. I guess our prayers were answered. THANK GOD!

I have a friend that's working there, and he said the opening is being pushed back a month. Something about the building not being ready yet. Not unless he was lying to me.:) LOL

the cadallic ranch is the funnest and safest bar around and has the best bartenders in this town they make you feel like you are right at home

I just spoke to them at the Cocky Bull they are opening August 15, 2007 - they had some kitchen issues

Can't wait for the Cocky Bull to open with all the history it has. I don't think JD's will be any good I have met the owners and they have snooty attitudes like they are better than everyone else. I have talked to others that have gotten to know them and they have said the same thing.

My brother, Tim Coppins was the owner of the Cocky Bull in its heyday, when it counted among its megastars the likes of Garth Brooks and Toby Keith just to mention a couple. I have many fond memories of the "Bull" and am delighted to see that it is reopening. Today, Tim's widow and I put together a package of stuff to send to the new owners---many autographed pics of superstars who graced the stage, and a bunch of original menus, etc. I wish the new owners all the best and look forward to visiting next time I'm in the area. These are people who worked with Tim back in the 90's and were personal friends, so they remember the way the bar was back then, and plan to bring it back bigger and better than ever. So get out there and support them. Have dinner---catch a show, and dance your brains out.

JDs Honkey Tonk will be great. Should open this weekend. They do not have snooty attitudes. Just come check it out.

cadillac ranch is the most fun in the desert!!! best bartenders, best security staff. hell, they even have a limo service!! and its certainly not "snooty". i always have a blast!!! good luck with the "rules" at that JDs honky tonk. the "bull" will be a nice place to take the family.
