Reminds me of a girl named Christina Gill who was murdered and found in a tree after the Trinity River finally went down. Does anyone know if they ever caught the person who murdered her? It happened in the early 90s. I've always wondered if they ever found who did it.

No, as far as I know they never found the person who did that to Chris. We met in high school and were close friends until she died. It's been 20 years and I still miss her terribly. Her death destroyed her family and I believe her parents have both passed away, never seeing anyone punished for this. I read a book called " Murderers Among Us" (it has a photo of Chris on the cover) and it theorized that a serial killer named Charles Sinclair was responsible but he's dead now. I don't know how credible the book is, however.

I was close friends with Christina, and was supposed to have gone with her that night. I passed and told her we would meet for lunch the next day. When I showed up I spoke directly with the lead detective. After reading your post in 2011, it haunted me even more. I actually went back down to the DPD and talked to the same lead detective and we went over a number of details in depth for several hours. Honestly, he and I discussed this was most likely a random act of opportunity done by an experienced serial killer. Basically out of all the cases he has ever investigated it had the most publicity because her parents spent their life's earning trying to find her.

The only way it will ever be solved is if someone gives a jail house or death bed confession. The clock keeps ticking and ticking on and on. I pray daily for her soul and peace. I was so relieved to know she died within an hour or two of her kidnapping from blunt force trauma to the head. For years I dreamed she was tortured during all those months that we searched and searched. R.I.P. Chris you are still in my heart daily, even after all these years. I wish I could have been friends with you through out all these years and seen our dreams come true. Love ya.

Before I was born my parents lived in Dallas, and they were neighbors with her family. Once they found her my dad went and got one of the "missing" posters. He still has it up in his man cave with the picture of his best friend who died in college. I didn't know you, Christiana, but I wish I could have, and I hope you're happy wherever you are.

Ironically, another woman from Irving was found in Hallsville, TX on October 7 off of a frontage road of I-20 in Harrison County. She was nude from the waist down and dumped by the side of the road. There are only a few places where there is a two lane road, going both directions, that parallels I-20. A line of trees hides the view from I-20. I suspect a serial killer on this as well. Perhaps someone who travels between Dallas and Shreveport, saw this area and thought it would be a perfect place to dispose of a body. It was. Nobody noticed her until after noon on Tuesday. Her name was Lillin Desiree Descoteau. Police are seeking people who might have known her.

Every so often I do a search to see if anyone was ever caught for killing Christina Gill. I lived in the apartment complex where her car was found, and remember a neighbor being the subject of rumors, but it never fit with who I thought he was, nor was he ever arrested. From what I have read, there was speculation that it could have been Charles Albright, a serial killer from DFW area. I believe it was just that- speculation.I was always haunted by the image on the flyer of a smiling Christina and how horrible it must have been for her family. I was the same age and living alone in Dallas. I hope one day someone will be arrested for this. Also, to all of you who still think of her, I am thankful that you post every so often.

I remember the story of Christina. I remember going to "On the Rocks" in 90 and my friend got kicked out for washing the x's off her hands and she took off and started wandering around Deep Ellum. We looked all over for her and later found her drunk, leaving some bar. We hadn't heard what had happened to Christina yet, at that time she was still just missing. It freaked me out for years, don't think that my friend ever went wandering around again by herself. I hate to read that the person had never been caught. 24 years later and I still think of her.

I'm so sorry they never found her killer. Chris was my friend when we were teens, I just did a search to see if they'd ever solved this murder because I was thinking of her this week. please tell your family Chris is still remembered with love.

Christina Gill was my first cousin. I was very close to her father Johny, my mothers brother. I was a child when it happened and spent many hours placing missing person posters around the city with my mother and grandmother. I was young so it was hard grasp. Her father died relatively young from heart problems afterwards. The body was severely decomposed and took dental records to identify. Even then the ID was not absolute. Her parents and family felt that regardless, this girl was someone's daughter and deserved to be buried. It never provided full closure. Foul play was the only factor, and no motive. Her car was found at a Deep Ellum night club called Faces, with her purse and shoes in the back seat. Some in the family suspected rape, some a drug deal gone bad. In the end no one was caught.

Was Christina Gill the sister of Michael Anthony Gill? He was with my mom for like 13 years. They had a falling out then he got his own place then he disappeared. I have heard that he died. He was from Los Angeles. As was his sister Christina

Charles Sinclair was suspected of 6 murders in Washington state. He died in jail in Alaska in 2003.
I kind of dought he came to Texas and had anything to due with Christina's death. I knew her as a little girl near Jupiter and E. Northwest Hwy in Dallas having gone to school with her half brother Scott.

He this was my cousin, I didn't even know she existed until she was already gone from this world. What can you tell me about what happened to her, I have the newspaper clippings but the Dallas paper but that's pretty much all I have. My dad and Ubcle Ray are the half brothers of Christian's grandpa Elmer Gill.
