The family is lucky she is alive. But they all need to count their blessings, call it a day and move on. She was stupid to get in a car with someone she didn't know. Although the first time this story came out, she didn't know him at all; now this story today is she didn't know him very well. What's up with that?
I even thought that perhaps she led him on in order to get a ride...

If he was on the Tollway, wouldn't the cameras at any of the toll stations taken a picture of his license plate??? Why aren't they looking into that to find out who this guy is?

Please do not take this wrong, but yes they should find this person ASAP.....but maybe other girls will not be stupid and take rides from people they do not know or trust! It's not any different than standing on the curb and "hitch hiking".
I am thankful that she is safe and that she was not hit by another vehicle, but please all you "dumb" girls out there, learn from this. DON"T BE A VICTIM!!!!

It seems that once again, most of you miss the point.

1. You have no evidence that the young woman was intoxicated. I've been to Oktober Fest with a group of friends in another state and opted not to drink.

2. Even if she was intoxicated, it does not give anyone the right to take advantage of her regardless of the circumstances. Would the incident have been "OK" with you had the woman been two years older? Drinking is not a moralitly issue - except in this litigous country.

3. If a man got into a car with a woman, his friends call him a god. If a woman gets into a car with a man, the same men call her a "ho". What gives?

This is what embarrasses me about the responses to this particular case and every other case involving violence against a woman. In a modern and progressive society, you still find it acceptable to discard a person by any means whether it is to shame her, humiliate her or throw her out of a moving vehicle simply for saying no to someone's inexplicable whims. No one should have to risk bodily harm or defend their life because he/she had the audacity to say no. It is this very moronic mindset that keeps women from having the same freedom as you to walk down the street anytime of the day or night, leave the windows open in hot weather or not be called a "ho" if assaulted. Calling a woman stupid for presumably placing herself in a potentially dangerous situation is displacing the responsablity of someone else's actions on the victim and not where it belongs. Who is responsible in the first place for insuring that no place is safe?

He might not have had one on, or he covered it - IF he were planning on doing something illegal...
I have seen many people coming in and out of my complex, who I suspected were criminally-minded, with either dealers tags (replacing the tags they had on earlier) or no tags at all on their vehicles...and amazingly they didn't get noticed by LE.

Two people that piss me off in this world. Stupid lushes that think that it could never happen to them AND people who wear jackets on hot days. I mean WTF is up with that ?

I hope they catch this jerk off and give him ten years probation. No jail because nobody should be as stupid as this girl was. I hope at least ONE girl learns from this and always keeps a back up plan in her pocket. People are vile and mean, luckily not all of us are BUT those of us that aren't don't hang around young drunk girls. I mean WTH would we talk about ??

I've read a lot of postings about this incident, and there are a few things that really make me mad. People write as if they know all the details and/or facts about what happened. This girl was brave enough to be interviewed the day after it occured. She stated that she wanted girls to be careful and not make the same mistake she made. Why are people so judgemental? Lots of people go to these types of events with their friends and end up getting separated...we DON'T know why she accepted the ride. The facts we DO know is that she fell out of that guys car on a FREEWAY offramp and HE DIDN'T STOP to help her...He wasn't the one that called 911!!!!! If he was so innocent, why didn't he stop his car and tell his side of the story??? Come on people! If he was a decent guy, he would have stopped his damn car and helped her! NO ONE deserves to be left on the road injured and alone! He is a coward and a criminal to say the least. I'm glad the family is speaking out about it...maybe their story will save a life. I hope that girl heals and stands tall knowing she didn't deserve to be left on the road. By the way, how would you feel if it had happened to some one you loved? I hope they catch this guy and the family can go on with their lives.

Didn't the girl get the name of the guy before she even got in the car with him? I feel bad for her, but what are kids thinking these days. They just don't want to listen to their parents repeating over and over, stranger danger!

Judging by the camera feed on the news, the detail wasn't sufficient to read the plates.
