They need a "Abercrombie and Fitch" also a "Hollisters". This keeps the people that live in Tuscaloosa from having to drive to Birmingham every time they want to go to these exiting stores. Also suggesting a "Forever 21" and "Pink" by Victoria's Secret more as a small village shopping center than as a food court.
Thanks,

We need more restaurants- maybe a TGIFridays or Houston's- something other than another wing restaurant, mexican, or steak.

Midtown is turning out to be such a let down. Such promise was available! Great new buisnesses SHOULD be coming to Tuscaloosa. We have enough people, most everyone goes to Birmingham to get anything, and therefore our tax dollars go to Birmingham as well. Midtown was a great way to redirect the tax revenue back to Tuscaloosa. Instead of putting up great new buisness we're moving old ones. Great. We already have a circuit city, and old navy, a kirklands, a game stop, ect. Thank goodness we're at least getting a decent book store, but come on! This is a booming college town. Some great restaurants would get excellent buisness, not to mention create jobs! Some fun clothing stores, especially forever 21, or banana republic would also get fabulous buisness! Heaven forbid that Alabama ever get a Nordstrom...that would be perfect for Tuscaloosa, it has a wonderful shoe department, and a good mix a moderately priced and more upscale clothing. I don't understand why we can't bring NEW buisnesses instead of moving the old. It also seems like midtown is getting desparate...they're letting existing crappy buisness buy property there and so good buisnesses don't want to risk a faliure. Now most midtown property is still up for grabs and I just know we're going to put awful shops there like...I don't know a dress barn and a shoe carnival. Midtown could be so nice, I pray the developers don't turn it into a dump.

A Forever 21 would be great! My daughter loves this store and we are always having to go to Birmingham.

I agree that Tuscaloosa, with the university, deserves some better retail shops than what they have now. Especially since Belk bought out Parisian, but please be practical. Nordstrom's is a pretty high end store- regardless of how great the shoe department can be. Birmingham is the only bet to appease the department store which doesn't go into any market lightly and it already has a Sak's. New restaurants would be a plus. When I was in college, I know I went to Birmingham a lot to do anything, too.

I think Midtown Village is doing great so far, but it does need to stop moving in existing stores. We do need a store that has those hard to find kitchen gadgets and some kid friendly stores. We also need plus size stores that are geared toward plus sizes teens and people in their 20's and early 30's. As for restaurants, we could use a Golden Coral. My mother likes Ross and I'd like to see some stores that we don't already have. Although, I do want more places for our college folks, we still need more children and teen hang-outs. Maybe, a juice bar or something that is refreshing for everyone.

I would like a Banana Republic, Nine West, and JCrew so I don't have to drive to Birmingham to shop. Stores like those and Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, White House Black Market would do really well in Tuscaloosa. There are almost 30k students here. You expect all those people to commute to Birmingham everytime they need something. We don't have Dillards, Macys, or any upscale department stores.
