And they call this a sport. How manly is it for a person to go and shot something that can't defend itself? The deer should have a gun too, clean up the population some.

Rednecks with guns in Pa. woods on the first day of deer season? Who would have thunk it?

900,000 hunters and only three get hurt with 360,000 bullets flying? Considering one was 85 years old, I'ld say these hunters are pretty good at what they do! If hunting was outlawed, all of you would just complain about the deer/car accidents, your tulips & trees being eaten, anyway, like they do in the Republik of North Jersey. FYI, I'm a college educated engineer who enjoys hunting, not a drunk redneck.

Bet your daddy was a drunk redneck though. It usually takes a few generations to correct itself.

But how would they pull the trigger?

Why don't you go hug a tree?

this is the only reason why I do not support deer huunting. Because their are far too many people shooting one another. Far too many beening killed.

My dad taught me compassion for all and respect for life and I'm very thankful for it. That's far from ignorant.

Yes Janie, you're very compassionate, making fun of a man who came from Ireland, joined our military to fight for our country in WWII, and raised 4 children who all went on to do great things. Sure, he hunted to support his family, but he was no redneck. Generations within your family are obviously going downhill based on your posts; go get a life.

You respect all living things yet your happy people get shot? You're a sadistic person, congrats.

People who enjoy killing animals deserve no respect or compassion because they have no compassion.
