Cheatham County continues to avoid their public responsibility with their "impact fees." It is just another redundant tax used to remodel public offices-no new infrastructure, roads utilities or other benefits of a "public need" have been implemented. As a former County Judge/Mayor put it: "Cheatham ain't no County at all!" The Town of Pegram also has an impact tax despite the illegality- not for roads nor public needs but for "twin peaks" Town Hall to house the "twin sneaks."

I think the impact fees are great! They're keeping out development. That keeps Cheatham County truly unique in this world of waste and overdevelopment. The last thing we need is for Cheatham to become a giant mass of cheaply constructed vinyl-siding, no character homes; just another plain hideous suburb of Nashville. There's enough of those already. Let's keep our farms, rivers, forests, parks, foxes, hawks, deer, coyotes, and all the other wonderful things that set Cheatham apart from the rest.

Unique is a good term to cover up the bad policies and practices of the Cheatham County and Towns. It is unusual and is akin to describing deviant behavior with a word like "gay." Cheatham County cas no consistent taxing nor management practices. Not all pay the arbitrary impact fees nor fire tax nor "adequate facilities" taxes.... There is no substitute for good public planning and administration! As one Judge stated: ".. the people of Cheatham County do not want any law- they just want to do as they please!" Backwards and back-woods are not necessarily bad but intentional inequitable and arbitrary taxes and fees RETARD progress and human development and attract a group who are trying to escape well-organized and intelligent community in favor of a wild west big SUV/pick-up truck shaggy look as portrayed by the country music crowd. It is part of the new age "dumbing down of America." Grow up Cheatham!
