Welch: Vermont's policy ideas can be found in climate bill

Vermont U.S. Rep. Peter Welch says the state's experiences in combatting climate change helped shape a major piece of legislation passed by the U.S. House last week.

This legislation is absolute junk. Proponents are pulling tid bits of information out of a 1200 page document they have had no time to read. To pass a bill without reading it is irresponsible. All yes voters should be removed from office immediately for grounds of not representing the people who voted them in. At least read the thing before voting. The stimulus package was not read, and has not worked. The tax burden placed on all companies other than nuclear will leave nothing but nuclear left. Are the anti-nukes now pro-nuke? I will never understand the thinking of some people.

i will ASSUME peter welch did not read 1200 pages of this bill. matter of fact, we're(Vt'ers) probably lucky if he read 10 pages of this bill.
