Fan Killed In Fall From Upper Deck At Turner Field

A Braves fan is dead following a fall Wednesday night from the upper deck at Turner Field.

An autopsy will determine if alcohol played a role in the accident.

I would hate to think that he did this while sober.

I'm sure he was drunk. I couldn't imagine going to a ballgame with a perfectly healthy friend, only to have to return home without.

And imagine the kids who will forever have the image of his body hitting the pavement while they were walking by.

Its amazing he didn't hit anyone on the ground level when he landed. I can't see how you could miss.

Some folks get really stupid after a few drinks.

I think many of us men were similiar as teens. But you'd think you'd grow out of it in your 20s. I'm sure he did also, but the alcohol took over.

When I think back to my teen and pre-teen years, I'm surprised I survived. And I can say the same about other friends.

Thank God my son is a lot less adventurous about doing stupid stuff than I was.

But I blame this incident on drinking. I rank it right up thier with the almost yearly Spring Break death in Daytona. Remember when how we'd hear about someone falling off a balcony every spring break season?

I don't mean to change the argument, but I think this backs my thoughts that drinking, which is legal, causes more deaths than the pot, which is illegal.

While a drinker is driving up 85N in the wrong lane, a pot smoker is sitting home at night watching an old black and white movie... and loving it.
