TimeShares are the biggest scam going, if they are not trying to sell you one they are trying get your money by telling you they can sell or rent it for you for a fee, which is a lie they just take you money. Stellar Advocate is the worst.

LIGHTEREDNUTS IS INVOLVED.

Yep, he's renting out his Fulton County double wide for $8 an hour. You come, he goes outside and sits in the Trans Am until you leave.

Here is why time shares are a scam. It is not the cost of one that makes it a scam , it is the maintenance fee. Say , for argument sake you pay a maintenance fee of 500 bucks per annul for one week. You have to realistically multiply that by 52 weeks. You see that would be the cost if you had a time share for all 52 weeks. That comes to 26 g.. Alot of money. Also you can rent a hotel room for 500 bucks a week without having to buy it so to speak for that week.

WTF??? You can get sometimes , a Hilton, Hyatt or a Marriot for 500 for a week , depending on location or time of year or online deal. Sometimes cheaper. I have stayed at posh hotels. Even if it cost you 1000 for the week , you are still much better off than the albatross of a time share contract.

How could anyone get scammed with a time share? Everyone who watches the news knows this is a scam and throwing their money away. Sucker born every second today.

If you paid 10g for one or whatever and there were no maintenance fees.. Even if it is only 1 week it is fine.. But maintenance fees really do make it around the cost of a hotel. You may as well bypass the middle man so to speak and just get a hotel room. My logic of multiplying it over 52 weeks is the way to go.

Timeshare fraud has been around since the timeshare idea was created, but they increase during poor economy. When times are difficult, timeshare owners are stuck with properties they canĀ“t travel to or even afford. Desperate to recoup some money to pay for bills, they can easily become victims to scams artists pretending to be their timeshare salvation who will take upfront fees -as much as five number figures in some cases- but fail to fulfill their promise:
