The home was a foreclosure and had not been plumbed for 2 heaters. Customer had only the minium size gas line. According to code it would have to be redone and pipe size increased. This was not known when discussed on the phone. Should have looked at job first but customer only had 2 days in town from out of state and could only find out when we arrived that day. We tried to finish job but customer had to leave to go back out of state and could not wait the extra day. We knocked off the amount of the charges that she incurred with the heating and air guy to make it right. Now we check each job before hand to make sure that it is "just a simple addition" Lesson learned.
