"The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretense by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both."
- William Rawle, A View of the Constitution, 125-6 (2nd ed. 1829).(Appointed by President George Washington as U.S. District Attorney for Pennsylvania in 1791). http://gunshowonthenet.com/BOOKS/RawleViewCon... "Because the ownership of firearms is constitutionally protected, its regulation is a matter of statewide concern. The constitution does not provide that the right to bear arms shall not be questioned in any part of the commonwealth, except Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, where it may be abridged at will, but that it shall not be questioned in any part of the commonwealth. Thus, regulation of firearms is a matter of concern in all of Pennsylvania, not merely in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the General Assembly, not city councils, is the proper forum for the imposition of such regulation. "For the foregoing reasons, the order of Commonwealth Court is affirmed...." - Ortiz v. Commonwealth (Pennsylvania), "Because the ownership of firearms is constitutionally protected", July 18, 1996. http://gunshowonthenet.com/2ALaw/OrtizVsCommo... |

Hows about a little CNN/media control for a change?

Statistically, CHL holders (folks who have licensed concealed carry) have the lowest crime rates of any other group or segment of citizens in the nation.
I guess CNN (Clinton Network News) is lying again. |

Now! Now! Remember: They would have such a shight fit! Imagine: — No news story without a five day waiting period — No more than one news story per month — Every talking head would have to pass a background check to ensure they've =NEVER= lied, or tried to deceive anyone else — Concealing their news sources would require a license and that would have to be renewed every month — Selling a news story would require both parties to get permission from the nanny state, to prevent 'straw purchases' — There would be news-free zones everywhere Etc. Anyway: Remember who owns CNN: Turner, who is so anti-liberty, that he gives money to the UN to make to make people in other lands miserable. |
