better be carefull what you say on here, environmentalists will have you executed for stepping foot in the woods, or a stream. they all think man should be metrosexual, and live nose to butt in the city. and if you dont have a phd in evnirmental science you can forget about even a hikeing trip, these hippie tree huggers are takeing over our country along with the commie liberals, so enjoy your gold panning while you can. in pacific county wa. the state seized thousands of acres of land from farmers who have worked the land for generations, to flood it for ducks! you can thank our eco-commie governor, and eco-commie lacky jennifer belcher for that .what next? will we be driven from our homes for rats next?in the next 25 years all of our civil liberties will be erased and criminals will have more rights than we do,oh wait its like that now! wake up america we are being over run by criminal politicians and commie-eco thugs!

Try balancing the recreational activities you engage in and mitigate the impacts on the environment by understanding the fragility of nature. The "eco-commies" PREFER you go into nature, because if you do, then you'll have an idea of what is at stake. Us "eco-commies" advocate CONSERVATION (the sustainable USE of resources, including wildland recreation) as opposed to preservation (setting aside our resources so that we can look from afar).

In response to Nick's comment:
The sustainable development movement which you are part of has its roots in United Nations Agenda 21. The two financial arms of the UN are the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Both of these private corporations were created by and are managed by Communitarians (ref: Niki Raapana), who blend socialism/communism with capitalism.
The Communitarians will seemingly do anything to achieve the goals of UN Agenda 21. They routinely leverage the unethical manipulative strategies documented by Saul Alinsky to further their goals. These people seek regional and world communitarian govt, the loss of private property rights, no more compounded interest, a Luciferian/Gaya religion to replace all organized religion, and much more. They use the strategy of gradualism and infiltration from within, to slowly take over existing institutions and the media.
These people are corrupt and unethical to the core. That you so willfully support the private agendas of filthy rich and rotten central bankers who use the UN as their facade to achieve greater power and control over free people worldwide is disgusting and demonstrates your extreme ignorance.
The idea that the environment cannot heal itself and that mankind must give up its freedoms to protect nature from man is propaganda created by central bankers to dupe gullible people such as yourself, who cannot find any self-worth in the world other than by latching onto ill-researched popular movements funded by corrupt bastards.

Ya I think we should dredge and dam every square inch of river system we have left. Stupid water and dumb wild animals. Who needs em anyway. The fact every dipshit hillbilly in America isn't allowed to dredge the shit out of my fly fishing river is ridiculous !

Luciferan/Gayan (sp) religion? World Bank and agenda 21? Sounds off the wall and conspiracy theorist to me. I just think that people should utilize while they conserve resources. It's a fine line to walk between raping the PUBLIC resource that doesn't belong to any one person, and having the government prevent use of public resources.
It surprises me everyday that people think that preservationism and conservationism are one and the same.
PS - I prospect in the river regularly, I just don't think that hydraulic mining or using a 6+ inch suction dredge is such a good idea. Other than the most extreme of libertarians would probably agree.
