supervalu is one of the worst companies that ever owned acme markets. they say that they are lowering prices but that isn't true. for every price that they lower they raise three or more and not just a nickle here or there but .50 to a 1.00. they have cut the hours so bad that you can't do the job the way it's supposed to be done. checking for out of date products is a thing of the past. you are not treated like a human being you are treated like a dog. they blame the employees for no customers, we have no customers because of the prices. customers that are still loyal will tell you it is because of the employees. i've worked for this company for over 25 yrs. and have never felt the way i feel today. when you are having upper management company everyone goes nuts trying to get the store in shape and calls are made to let managers know when they will arrive they need to make unannounced visits so they can actually see what kind of shape the stores really look like. they can spend 9 million on programs on how to give better customer service by employees but we already know how to give customer service, they are the ones who don,t.
we have a knew president of acme his name is dan sanders who i have never seen. people who went to a rally with him said it was the first time in a long time that they felt that management wasn't blowing smoke up their butts. he wrote two books on how to treat employees and gave them to people at the rallywell i think he should give them to the store managers and craig herkert and maybe they could learn a thing or two. not all managers are in the same catagory as others. i have had a few that were desent. i personally can not see acme being around much longer if things keep going the way they are going. i would like to here what other acme employees have to say.when you put 25 plus years in a company and you are treated this way you certainly are pushed not to care. if they are going to get ride of acme just do it and get it over with. just one last thing if a husband and wife both work for acme one of us would be actively lookin for another job. thanks

I agree with sugarbear above, acme markets are going down...and going down fast.I was one of the people that was at that rally she speaks of and it all sounded really good, lots of hootin and hollering, chanting and BLAH,BLAH,BLAH, all for what??? Absolutely nothing has changed, Dan Sanders spoke of not cutting hours, and cutting prices, all a bunch of crap, hours are being cut even at the stores that still do turn a profit, and cut bad, they lower 5 prices and jack up 10 others, its crazy. Im one of the people who do my job and take great pride in the work I do, but this company is making it very difficult for me to continue with a "smile"on my face, I struggle to get the words outta my mouth, thank you...have a nice day, when I myself am having an awful day! I owned my own business for 20 years and treated my employees with the same respect I wanted to be treated with, never would I dream of talking to ANYONE like they were beneath me, wether that be my dishwasher, cashier or whatever, a simple great job guys is always nice to hear, not constant negative. This company just keeps taking, taking, taking, without giving anything in return, morale is at an all time low, and its very sad to watch...Another one of our longstanding markets is going down in flames, and myself and many other dedicated employees are standing by helplessly just watching it being run into the ground. Acme used to be the market everyone wanted to work for, sad to say...those days are long gone....
