Pa. woman sentenced for letting daughter have sex

A wester Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to two to four years in prison for letting her 12-year-old daughter have sex at home with a 16-year-old boy.

Its about time.... so tierd of parents not being responsable for thier children going free, its sad that our government has to uphold morals and values the family should be teaching,wake up people cable television and music is the downfall of our civilization.

i think it's mostly tv. I am appauled at what I see on tv and im not even a parent. I have to avoid most shows, or I easily learn a new disgusting form of sexual act on CARTOONS and MTV no less.

Blaming media is such a scapegoat for the actions that young people take. Parents need to be parents. You can't shield children from media and "bad" tv, but you can be a parent and teach right from wrong. If your child knows right from wrong then they will understand that tv and/or music is entertainment and not reality.

A 12 year old having sex with a 16 year old isn't uncommon, but it was disgusting and irresponsible on the parents part for allowing this to happen.

there is something wrong when a 12 year old is engaging in sex . i understand a 15 teen year old but 12 is young kids are loosing their innocence earlier and earlier what is a parent to do? the law has taken the rights away from the parents all the child has to do is call 911 and lie and off to jail the parents go OK now the mother is in jail so now who is watching this fast child? putting the mother in jail is not the answer this child is happy her mom is away so she can play now that her innocence is no more how in the world are they going to stop this kid from looking for kin ? you can not turn sex off after you have been fed the poison I bet the boy 16 has been slam with rape ! I bet he wish he would have found older pic kens he just ruin his whole life over a peace of rotten fruit when is boy and man going to learn not to eat from the garden of eve no matter how tempting it may look its not worth ruining your life if he don't know i bet he will now . being a parent today is very hard back in the 50's & 60's you got your ass beat if you were not in the house at 8:00 o'clock or when the street lights came on you got jack up you were never up hanging in the streets all night you never were subjected to seeing your mother screwing around with so many men like they are today the kids today don't know who their father is its a different time kids having sex with teacher's teachers having sax with students children engaging in sex when they are supposed to be acting like kids doing kid things playing with dolls and having fun you never see a little girl playing with a baby doll today they bring the real baby home there are no morals today our children are subject to anything today they are taught to have no morals or respect for any one and most of all themselves just look at how our young youth is they are filled with rage and hate This 12 year old is a product of her environment that's all as most of the children are in society today anyone can have a child it dose not make you a parent like my mother was she taught me to always love yourself & respect yourself i stay innocent till i was in my late 30's & i married the man who respected me to love me & waited till i was married today they don't even get married its albout sex & the age is getting younger & younger what a sad world it is .no love respect for human life not even a baby's

The law took all rights away from the parents so now the parents just don't care if they say or hit there kids they are going to jail

how can a parent stop it? please the year is 208 not 1930's time has change and its going to get worse

when it comes to the law it is !!! the screwed up laws call statutory rape under the age of 16 teen!! this is a 12 year old this 16 year old dummy will be in jail for 30 years & come out wareing a tracking device!!! regardless if the 12 year old had come & get it written across her money maker !

no im not bent out of shape! no my children did not run over their parents ! every one of my children graduated from collage with M.B.A. this is how well children do when they have loving parents , they grow into respectful adults. I'm so thankful my children are all grown i don't have to worry about braking the law
