Flood Survivors Talk About Possibly Rebuilding the Teton Dam

As talk of rebuilding the Teton Dam is filtering throughout the valley, some of those hit hardest haven't forgotten the tragedy the first dam brought to the Teton basin. via KIFI Idaho Falls

Not such a good idea. People need to learn from bad ideas and move on. Like the Titanic, horrible disaster, hasn't been recreated. Likewise don't put lives and property in harms way because someone has something to prove.

The teton Dam flood was on my birthday. I lived in Rexburg at the time. We lost everything. How can you compare the Dam breaking to the Titanic? Pretty dramatic aren't ya. They don't want to recreate the tragedy, they want to build a Dam. If some one you love was injured or killed in a car wreck, would that keep you from buying a car ? It was a tragedy, I know I was there. But Dude come on, get over it.
