Stomp on the American flag like Obama's buddy, burn it, spit on it...every liberal dirtbag is defending these actions as some sort of a protected right?
But how dare someone throw the respected Mexican flag in a garbage can? Oh, the irony. |
|
At the rate the dollar is sinking, that flag will have more worth than a 20 spot. |
|
Sad story no doubt. Now how many little girls and boys do white Americans rape each year all over the world. They go to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Thailand, Philipines to do their dirty things aboard. But I gues that is ok. Than do not get mad when one of those countries burn your flag. You know I am right. |

I would love to see the posts here if it was an Irish flag on St. Patrick's day or, an Italian flag on Columbus day. Hey, what if it were an American flag on Independance day? Seriously, I'd love to see the difference in reactions here. Bottom line, it was the kids property and it wasn't disruptive, it's not the teachers to throw away, it was basically stolen, period!!!

I agree with his point, I can meet you at the corner of rte. 83 and 75th. What time? |
|
Hah, we already have overrun the country. Along with Italians, Germans, Czechs, etc, etc, etc. The flag was the kids property and the teacher didn't have any good reason to take it. I swear it's so easy to spot people who've never been exposed to Mexicans, they're so afraid. Seriously, you all should try to speak to one Mexican this month, see what a "terrible" experience it is. Bunch of tightwads here. |
|
What holiday? It isn't a holiday in this country. Smarten up, dope. |

"Clint Straatman denies Froylan Camelo's version of events but said he took the flag Monday because "white kids" might have hurt the 16-year-old. He said he put it in a garbage can because he had no place else to keep it"
No place else to keep a fully foldable flag, sounds real plausible (end sarcasm). Way to be adult about the situation Mr. Straatman. |
|
It is you ignorant crackhead. That coach is nothing but a redneck biased old bastard. People like that coach should be sent to the front line of the war, maybe then we can kill off the ignorance in this country. |
|
Wright, and all s cumbag lieberals need to be kicked out of this country before they complete their destruction of it. |
|
You pathetic, rotten person. Go live and rant your hatred where you came from, you won't last long from the secret police in your former domain, MORON!!! |

From Switzerland: Respect for all country's flag should be exhibited, regardless of which country you are int.
However, I'd buy his teacher a beer. |
|
Teacher should not have tossed it in the garbage. The student has a valid complaint. I don't think it deserves a lawsuit though. An apology would suffice, IMHO.
Students at my kid's high school wore Mexican colors and Mexican flag images on t-shirts and all was "kosher". In fact, the Hispanic Club held quite the celebration during lunch hours. The principal and super were among the party goers. (My kid's school is about 48% black, 47% white, 5% Hispanic/Asian/Indian/Other.) |
|
Same goes for Poles and Irish (etc.) who wave those flags on their big days. Right? |
|
You are all mouth |

With role models like Mr. Straatman, it's no wonder they have "kids saying stuff to each other" and "lots of fights." Way to set a good example for the kids! How incredibly insensitive. Does he degrade and mock kids of Irish descent on St. Patrick's Day, too? I seriously doubt it.

I agree. There are not many Hispanics in my neighborhood but there were plenty of Mexican flags and other symbols around town... all the restaurants (Mexican and not Mexican) and bars advertised and celebrated with drink specials and open taco bars, etc. Even the new Asian (sushi, Chinese, etc.) restaurant in the neighborhood had Margarita specials advertised. |

Douche? Ooh...you really hurt me with that one, Billy. Anyway, I wasn't talking about Rev. Wrong, you ignoramus. And if he did "desecrate" his own flag, good for him. He doesn't deserve to own one. And coming from him it symbolizes nothing. Besides, anyone who destroys an American flag is a coward. Nothing more, and probably much less. Ponder that for a while, Billy-boy. |

This is yet ANOTHER instance where the dominant culture is fearing 'The Other.' Funny thing: this SAME sentiment occurred in Texas during the 1930s when Mexicans saw that 'state' overrun by Anglos who, after awhile, felt entitled to claim it for themselves (scholars have argued as a pretext to extend slavery into the Southwest -- an issue we ourselves fought over just 25 years later in 1865). It also happened in California when Mexicans (who called themselves 'Californios') saw their land titles gobbled up, first by Anglo squatters, then by exorbitant lawyers fees and high mortgage interest rates (the latter necessary to secure those lawyers) in order to fight the Anglo squatters in court arbitration (Public Land Commission of 1851). Funny thing, though: the Californio's land rights which were all along explicitly protect in the articles of the Treaty of Guadalupe.
Look: I'm not here to rehash a history that many readers here perhaps don't want to acknowledge, or perhaps they feel it is irrelevant to our present-day USA. But one has to admit the IRONIC nature of the predicament we now face. And one has to at least acknowledge the short-sighted arrogance we seem to display towards others whose roots extend deeply into this land -- and in many cases, MUCH DEEPER than our own.... |
