How does a family on benefits afford a 2500 pound tv and 450 pound sound system? That's roughly $5,000 and $900 Canadian!

Well, if they are nearly deaf, then they should use hearing aide compatible headphones.

These people are scum. If they are partially deaf, that means they are also partially hearing. You amplify your hearing, not your environmental sounds. Doesn't say they have hearing aids, but I'll bet they don't.

The kids' hearing could also be damaged by all this noise, but I guess that will let them be just like mom and dad, right?

They are lucky they don't have me for a neighbor; they would have the police there every day until they acted like human beings.

I'm sure they were violating noise control laws.
I can't imagine listen to a TV that loud anyway.

It's easy, I use to live close to a small "poor" town that was next to a meat cutting plant. Nearly everyone in the town were workers there. As you drive thru, several Corvettes, and large TV dishes were seen. I wondered how they could pay for them when I could not afford them. I later figure out (with the help of friends in the business) that with my taxes (to pay for people on welfare) I could not afford them, but the people on welfare (Government paying their rent, food, utilities) had so many bills paid with my tax dollars, that they could buy nice cars and Sat. TV dishes.
