My foot is a little sore from having it propped up on the coffee table all day. Now that I think about it, my neck hurts a little too from sleeping on the couch all day. How do I get one of those notes so that I can buy weed to cure my ailment? I can't go to Wal Mart to buy Tylenol because the council did not want it here. Plus, I have no car and they raised my subsidized bus ride to like .30 cents. How the heck am I supposed to get to the weed store now?

Thanks Vallejo, we now have a thriving shopping center because of a weed store. I am sure the store is bringing in lots of revenue with its reported sales.

It figures. Kick Walmart out and give a business license to a "legit" weed seller.

Vallejo, my kinda town.

The first three posters here should take a couple of hits from some PacaLolo or Ganja. Put the alcohol and vicodin down fellows - it just makes you mean and angry. Especially you Saulie.

Saulie your slipping. You forgot to blames Gomes for this dispensary. And while I am against these establishments, in your case it might do you some good to go visit one. Might help with your confusion and anger issues.

"They are so busy," said the man, who also declined to give his name. "Maybe there's a customer every three minutes. Maybe 60 cars a day, maybe more."

Do they charge sales tax....are we making any money off of them....if not bust'em

The city needs to start mandatory drug testing employees now or the taxpayers will be paying for their dope too.

I was shocked when a friend in southern California opened his refrigerator some time ago to show me his pharmacopeia that included three or four kinds of hash in a variety of forms ALL purchased legally with a doctor's prescription from one of MANY stores selling the product in the region. It has become a topic of humor as he speaks about his "medicine." I'm aware of some of this friend's medical issues but I don't know enough to judge whether the prescription he received is warranted or simply a wink and nod from a friendly doctor.

I'm enough of a product of the sixties that I don't have great qualms about recreational drug use. Considering the great harm done by alcohol addiction as well as abuse of prescription drugs concerns about recreational drug use strike me as silly. Yes, there are folks with problems, but the war on drugs strikes me more as a correctional officers full employment act, as well as an effective means for financing local police departments who take advantage of forfeiture laws. NPR did a series of stories last week about asset seizures by local police departments.

I've no doubt that if someone did a bit of research they'd find quite a few communities in the region offering these products. Free enterprise at its best I guess.

I heard medical marijuana was to be included in the fire union health and welfare benefits next contract cycle, 100% paid by the City, of course... ;-)

Bankruptcy will likely put the kibosh on that one...

Great! Vallejo Visitor, a self admitted ex-city administrator (whatever), growing up in the 60's (so clearly not a juvenile) still has friends who participate in the use of ILLEGAL drugs! I know, I know, "It's medicinal." What a load of crap! I grew up in the 80's. Marijuana usage is for kids!!! It was something kids did in between class, at party's, etc. Medicinal marijuana laws were created by pot heads for pot heads. It is nothing more than a stoner's excuse to continue to get high!! Grow up VV, put down the water bong, roach, bowl, gas mask, and whatever else you use to smoke your pathetic herb, and act like an adult. My bet is you and your "friend" fired up a "fat zepplin," sat back and "got small" while listening to "Stairway to Heaven" and playing the air guitar. Step out of your Birkenstock's, shelve the tye dye, wash the oil out of your hair, and go for your "Nature" hike on Mt. Benicia at the state park! High school daze are well in your past!

The thin blue line. "I just said no, but they didn't believe me!" Who needs them!

Can you smell what I am cooking? Marijuana brownies for my non, new pot head friend Vallejo Visitor.

Caann Yoouu Diigg It!!!!

Peace

Anger Issues? If you haven't notice crime is up, city services is down, Employee flight is at an all time high and new papers are calling Vallejo the worst run city in America. OK Now I am not saying that Gomes is completely responsible, it Gomes, Schivley and Davis who are most at fault. No hate just fact. I've read your views Tom and it is apparently you are related to someone on the council so I can appreciate your loyalty to them.

This is a great program for Vallejo. This will pick up Vallejo's image and make it better. By Vallejo allowing this company to sell Marijuana to sick people, Vallejo is showing that they care.

Great job to our city manager and city council for allowing this type of company in Vallejo.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that as the leader of Fighting Back, I would like to put some money aside so that the Parolees with injuries can also purchase the healing drug.

Doug, take a note, we need more money from the city for this project. Call Go Go in the morning and demand action right away.

Good Luck Vallejo

Oh Doug, you wife gets sued and you now take crack shots at the fire department. Coming from a man (that is pushing it) who has been banned from his old office, your credibility is NONE.

Your true colors came out on this issue and will never be forgotten. You have disappointed a lot of people who thought you were above this, but we were wrong.

I can't wait to see your comments when the judge throws out the bankruptcy and Vallejo loses another 2 million dollars. Let me guess, the city manager and council will spend another million to continue going after a contract they will get for free within two years.

This is very intelligent. And just think, you are behind all of this too.
