Why?? At that time of night its safer to walk the tracks then the streets in Lawncrest. Its getting so bad its time to have police posted on the corners like they did in North Philly. A couple of more years and NE Philly will be just like Norh Philly.

it's certainly harder to get killed by the train than by a local in Lawncrest.

how many times a week does an "oppressed misunderstood youth" hold up a convenience store and shoot a cop up there?

those poor innocent kids with mack10s.

There needs to be a limit on kids. Especially the hood kind. Having kids was ok awhile back but now they are all grown up or teenagers now. Look what it's doing now. Geeze. I'm moving back to TX. Atleast there you can carry a gun. So if some punk tries to rob you, you can just shot them.

Philadelphia is going to reap what it sows, and the Demosocialist politicians are behind it only to buy their sorry asses a vote. They've ruined stable neighborhoods with Section 8, transplanted whole ghetto populations and forced the home-buying residents out, raised taxes in those ghettoized neighborhoods to replace money they won't have , but love to spend, and then actually try to make the victims reaponsible for the crime. I live not too far from this area in question and, yes, it's a Hell Hole now because of the type of person the Politicians brought up here.

I think people are missing the issue here... What a shame...the problem is with the area is any normal/educated people that grew up there don't want to go back... So then as a result you get all the rif RAF... It's life

What a tragedy. Most of us have partied on or at train tracks in our younger years and lived through it. Damn shame.

Jen, its such a horrible thing what happened to her. I knew her mom. I cant beleive some of the people saying things that just plain get off the subject of this young smart girl dying. Instead you have opinionated idiots saying things that have nothing to do with it or bashing her for being down there.

If you considered her your Friend, why in God's name did you not interceed & stop her from partying as much as you said she did. Maybe you can be a positive influence For some of her other friends who supplied her with Booze, Pot etc.
