The cops shouldn't even have guns. They're all crazy anyway. Now my taxes have to pay for the cop and the scum bag they shot. I hope i ticked someone off here. But since i have your attention, i hope you agree the cops do not have a blanket agenda of being tough guys. Probably 98.9% do what's right. Maybe Karoly and his followers disagree but we already know what category they are in. God speed in your recovery officer.

You are an Idiot. This man opened fire on the police, they had every right to return fire an their own defense and for the defense of the person whose home he was trying to enter. He obviously had not so good intentions in the first place, or do you think he brought the weapon to the house for thrills.

Got in a shoot out with two cops and lives. I think they need to spend more time at the range or have their eyes examined.

May the officer make a speedy and full recovery!!! As for the suspect, he should have been shot dead. He's apparently a waste of space and life in this world, so why keep him alive?

Actually, I believe police are usually trained to render a suspect useless but not kill him/her. If they DO protect themselves and kill a suspect, then you have idiots like Karoly who want to rape a system and cost people MUCH more money.

Personally, I love seeing on TV when they use a Taser. That is FUNNY stuff!! Watching a suspect being all big and tough and then drop like a little baby when tased. Funny stuff!!!!

"Bailado allegedly fired a handgun at Davis and another officer. Both officers fired in return.... Bailado was shot multiple times.... taken to Abington Memorial Hospital. Wire service reports incidated [sic] both were expected to survive."

Good job, officers, but ... "multiple times" and "expected to survive" ? What if he'd had a more dangerous weapon ? When you're back, make some time for weapons refresher and tactical training, please, for your sake (and ours).

I completely disagree with locking him up for life. Save the taxpayer money and just execute the guy!

Police are trained to end the threat, either to themselves or citizens. We do not shoot to wound we shoot to stop the deadly situation that is occurring. The "safest" way to stop a deadly force encounter is to kill the person.

I was so aggrevated at the first part of your post it tainted my understanding of the rest, blinding me to the implied sarcasm

shooting to wound only opens the city & officers to lawsuits when they get maimed. If you shoot, you shoot to kill or not at all. Its not the movies.
