I drove by Great Chow on Rt. 18. It looks like it will open soon. Any one hear if they will have live entertainment?

Great Chow on Rt 18 opened tonight (September 3, 2007,) and the place was packed. I think the management was a little surprised by the turnout, and there were some very minor glitches in service that I'm sure will smooth out in a few days, but the food was fantastic! It's a buffet for the first week to introduce the menu (all you can eat for $15.00.)
I highly recommend the sushi, especially the salmon, as well as the teriyaki chicken, which was absolutely perfect.
The full menu looks great, and I'm looking forward to visiting again in the next few weeks.

Please excuse any spelling errors because I am a victom of Boston Public Schools.
Great Chow...opening night...We parked out back in the lot, It was packed. We entered the restraunt and I was truly impressed. It does not look like any restraunt in 'Bing Town let alone the South Shore. I thought I was in Las Angeles.
We were asked to sit in the bar area because the owners had close friends(150) at the regular dininig area. The place is nice. All tile with unique patterns....horseshoe shaped bar...lots of wndows....We ordered drinks,..took awhile to arrive...and went to the buffet....there were so many people there that the line was slow...The food was excellent...service was...well...slow, but it was opening night...and they said they never expected a turn out like they had.
In the bar area...5 monitors....good for football season.
Food A+
Service c+

It's not just Great Chow. It's a Great Place to hangout. I can't think of any restaurant like this on the South Shore. You'll just have to be here to feel it.

I really enjoyed the Great Chow on rt 18 in abington. Whether you want to relax and watch the game at the bar area (large flat screen tvs are key!) or have a low key date in the dinning area this place is classy all the way. There is also a hibacci area which i have not experienced yet, the owner suggested reserving your place ahead of time in the hibacci area. I guess it gets pretty busy especially on the weekends. Their Sushi was excellent!!! Drinks were yummy - lots of fruity choices.
