Can anyone recommend a good spa in Abingdon? The Martha Washington is not getting very good reviews, and I really don't want the "hair salon with a so-called spa stuck in a backroom" type. I've already tried a couple of those and was not impressed.

No, that one was next on my list. I was hoping to get some recommendations before I try another one so that I don't waste any more money on mediocre service.

Thanks for your suggestion!

I have been 10 or 11 times over the past 10 years-they are clean, polite, professional, and if they don't have something you want, tell them-they are very helpful. I have had everything from the "hot rocks " to a "queen for a day" and a little bit of everything when I have extra spending money.I hope you are as happy with them as I have been. Enjoy!

I have to disagree. I have been to Healing Waters and will not go back. The owner actually did my massage and I found her to be very unprofessional as she spent alot of time discussing herself and had no regard for what I wanted out of my massage. I have known many others to go there that have similar experiences and will also not go back. I had to actually start driving to Johnson City to Austin Springs Spa to have the "spa experience". Good luck finding something that works for you but be careful before you spend too much at Healing Waters!

I go to Healing Waters for my facials, manicures & pedicures, and I use several of the products that they sell. I go to another place for my massages because I just don't like the same person doing my pedicures, massages, etc. and that's the way it is at Healing Waters. I don't think their training is specialized enough to be messing with my previously injured back.

I noticed a new place near Exit 14 today, it's a salon & spa. Any info on that one? I'm not even sure what it is called..."Color" something.

The new place at Exit 14 is called Color Avenue. I don't know anything about it, I just noticed it this morning.
