I support free speech, but the klan is basking in its own glow of lunacy. I respect the opinions and views of all, so long as they coincide with the harmony and prosperity of man as a whole. Having said that, I find myself feeling like I live in LA all of a sudden. There's far too many mexicans in this area and it depresses me. I suppose if I moved to North Dakota there may be some white dominance as far as population numbers go. I'm not racist, supremacist or anything resembling a redneck. Been friends with people of all walks of life of every color, as a species we should find ways to better our lives and the lives of others without the expense of suffering or discrimination to any other.

In order to prevent the other posts from becoming a discussion about the Ku Klux Klan rather than its intentional topic (which recently occurred), it is necessary to "bring back" this page so that it can be discussed properly while at the same time preserving the other forums.

If you truly support free speech, you would not be adding "so long as they coincide with the harmony and prosperity of man as a whole". That is easily translated into "I support freedom of speech for as long as it agrees with me".

Will you be willing to learn and speak spanish to accommodate those who fails or refuses to learn our English language? While I may not agree with the Klan's ideologies, I support their right to rally. The whole point of freedom of speech and association is to provide an avenue of expression for ideas which do not coincide with the majority's mainstream view. Thus, the aforementioned condition ("so long as they coincide with the harmony and prosperity of man as a whole") does not square well with me either. Such a condition is totally contrary to the idea of true freedom.

As I stated, I do no agree with the Klan's general messages. However, I do respect them for their continuing efforts which push the envelope. Even if it was not their main goal, they have helped safeguard some of the major rights provided by our Constitution. So, if nothing else, I respect the Klan for their contributions to the area of Constitutional law.

Personally, however, I would like to see a rally. I just think it would be so entertaining to see everyone get so up-in-arms over it. I like seeing people have their feathers ruffled... and I think that is just what this town needs.

That is a very interesting reply, "Youngster".
But it Is our intentions to safeguard our Constitutional Rights, as well as our Heritage, Culture and Values. It remains our purpose to aid and protect the widowed, the children and the disabled as well, just as we have done now for over 146 years. Sadly, many have been fooled by the liberal media, and as such they refuse to learn the truth about our Noble Organization.
Generally, we have much local support during our "Rallies", and the events are quite peaceful.(As with any "rally, protest or march" of any kind or nature, there are some anti's present). We do not do so to "ruffle feathers", but to serve as a reminder that we still remain strong, we are still very active, and that America still belongs to Americans. And we are keeping it that way.

I don't care if somebody's free speech or expression aren't in line with my own beliefs but I do feel that nobody should use free speech in order to harm or incite harm to others. Malice, intolerance and ignorance coupled with hate and the freedom to express it at will upon others and in some cases, those unable to defend themselves are the main reasons why there is so much unrest in so much of the world. Freedom is great, but also dangerous because man is a wicked thing. We are our own enemies.

Semi, Back in the 60's, MLK instructed his followers to riot, to vandalize and cause civil unrest across this Nation. As a result, more people were killed and maimed than in the same time frame of the Viet Nam War.
I have yet to hear you speak out against the wide-spread honoring of such a destructive individual who also embezzled 72% of all funds meant for the "movement", who regularly beat his wife, and cried out against our 2nd amendment rights (though he himself carried a .25 caliber, wore body armor & was never without at least 9 bodyguards in public, which didn't do him a bit of good in the end).

The is no exceptions. Either you support the same rights for your enemies as you do for yourself, or you simply do not support the Constitutional Rights for anyone other than yourself.
