<quoted text>There is no such thing as an ex-felon. Once you are a felon you are always a felon. Ex-convict may be the term you were going for.
Aside from that... I wish you the best of luck!
if you are convicted of a crime---then you are a convict and you remain a convict forever (unless pardoned by gov or pres)--the proper word may be ex prisoner if you spent time behind bars, but you are always a felon-or convict.

It would help if you lost your job skills or technical skills. A list of companies who hire doesn't necessarily benefit you if your skill set isn't up to date. What are your skills and what type of work are you capable of? Maybe we can offer clearer and more precise info with a little more info from you.

Or are you at a point where you will take any job available? Good luck!

I often check the sex offender registry when I'm renting out one of my apartments. It seems there's a lot of "offenders" in the heating / cooling business.

As for you mark you are a idiot I somebody did the crime and paid there time and money, somebody that has made 1 stupid mistake should not have to suffer a life long of poverty. You do not have Gods permission to judge and for that you will be judged!!

Whatever happened to second chances, I became a felon a few months after turning 18! I am now almost 25 years old, I have not been in trouble since, all my time served fines paid and have been off probation for years! I have still not found job, I have spent countless hours going from business to business, application after application and searching the net trying to find something. And yet I always walk away with we don't hire people like you! I have talked to so many lawyers and all they say is your just going to have to live with it, i dont know where else to turn! Ive only been in trouble one time and done every thing to correct my mistake but I am still being punished! I'll admit I made the mistake, and I did my time, but I am not a bad person! All I want is to make an honest living like the rest of the people in the community! I do not receive any income from the government, I do what I can to get by on a daily basis! I can understand repeat offenders being punished like this but why punish the people that have learned there lesson! Maybe one day this world will see the fact that just because you are labeled a felon does not mean you are a horrible person, everyone makes mistakes!

You have no freaking clue what this man even done or didn't do. He could have taken a plea deal as guilty and didn't even really do it. Bottom liNE (Mark) or anyone for that matter. It's not your place to judge anyone. And especially saying something as idiotic as NOT being able to get a job should be apart of his punishment too. They paid there time for his crime. Everyone deserve a 2nd chance. Just about everyone does something illegal in their lifetime the difference is that some get caught and some don't. You make me sick. I guess you'd rather someone live in a box homeless under the interstate then try to better their life and move past the mistakes they made right? Wrong. People should lift people up and encourage others to do better in their life. I'm done wasting time on you. But as far as people who hire felons hun, universal fibers, azz galvanizing, home pride, just about all of the ones on industrial park Rd in bristol hires felons. And you'll make good money too.

Agree people are idiots on this post - America the incarceration nation . Seems its also in decline a nation with too many laws & a justice system set up to steal money & incarcerate for the smallest little law broken . Your a product of a legal system turned up side down , hope you find away to support your family may God be with you & family . Try the Goodwill Co seems they help the poor & handicap I know they have helped .

You're an a$$. He/she knows what they are and doesn't need corrected gramatically. I'm a local business owner and would love to help but unfortunately times are too tough. I just wanted to say that I'd be much more willing to hire an ex-con than someone who served as an officer. I just feel that there would be less problems since chances are the ex-con is much more honest. At least they have the stones to admit they've done wrong and are trying to change that. Have you ever admitted to your wrongdoing or do you just troll topix to find people to kick while they're down?
I think you are looking for the word "grammatically" and also looking for the word "trawl". If you cannot gain control of the English language then you should not chastise others for their errors.

really so since not beinh able to get a job should be part of ur punishment ?? most peole do crimes cus they cannot get a job and make money the legal way. i think if u pass a drug test no matter what your record is unless its a job at a pharmacy and u have drug chares or a job at bank n have embezzlement charges. most felons if given the chance will be more honest than someone who hasnt been caught yet

It's all about trust and track record? I completely believe in 2nd chances, but it is obvious from all the comments that public opinion is a hard thing to change!

You are an effing idiot ! Period. Maybe "times are too tough" because you know nothing about running a business. Hire all the thugs, crooks and criminals you wish. Don't seem to be working too well for you now. By the way, I'll give you a box of tissues if you'll let me know where to bring them.

Oh wow, you sound tough. You became a felon because you lack self control. And chances are, if you are an ex con, I'd bet you probably don't despise pricks. lol
