Can anyone tell me what the prices are per visit at some of the dr's that prescribe suboxone in Abingdon? I am currently going to Jonson City for treatment but I think I'm paying way too much. I have heard several people say there were a few Dr's in Abingdon that don't charge ridiculous prices, is this true? Btw, anyone that only wants to comment so they can call me a "pill head" need not bother b/c it will only make me laugh at your ignorance.

Yep. We're the ones not letting a pill or needle dictate our lives, but you're going to laugh at our ignorance. We don't want your trashy kind in this town. Hit up Grundy or one of the other depressing dumps. Or just O/D; we need to thin the herd.

One day addiction may touch your life in some way, & when it does I hope you remember your unkind words...btw, Grundy may not be as beautiful of a town as Abingdon but it is full of good people. & who are you to judge? You call yourself "donkey penis" then wana call someone else trashy...bahaha!

Apparently irony is lost on you. My tiny shriveled manhood couldn't begin to fill that gaping abyss you call a scooter. Bahaha yourself. Junkies deserve contempt and a dirt nap.

You are such a low life loser! You hide behind a computer typing your little smart*** comments. I'll bet you don't have the balls to say these things in public. I'll bet you are a skinny, little whimpy, ugly man that is ashamed to go out in public. I don't even feel sorry for you. We would be better off if you didn't exist. Sicko!

I couldn't have said it better myself. Btw, by ignorance I meant lacking of knowledge in addiction/recovery. It seems you fit the bill here Donkey Penis. Your mind is clearly so closed that your head would blow off of your shoulders if you knew the truth. Addicts, or "junkies" as you call them are everywhere, love. It's not happening in the low income housing anymore. People just like you are getting hooked on pills every single day in this country & not b/c they went out looking to get high but b/c they followed their doctors orders!!

I was wrong when I said I would laugh at your ignorance if you tried the whole name calling thing. Your comment has really bothered me. If you saw me on the street you would NEVER think I was on suboxone, let alone on dope. So, if the comment was intended to cause pain & lower self worth, mission accomplished. You should be proud of yourself & your willful ignorance.

What is suboxone? Does it have its own clinic?

Go to this website & check it out :)

It's basically an alternative to methadone treatment for people who are addicted to opiates. It doesn't have many of the bad side effects that methadone has & for many it's much easier to detox from suboxone vs methadone. It has saved my life & many, many others like me. Yes, there are clinics that some people visit daily or weekly & it is also given out at many methadone clinics. Most people go to a regular medical doctor for a prescription once a month.

Oh didn't know nothing I'm looking for... Good luck to you though... would you know of a good Dr. For post tramatic stress, anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, and rage? I had a good Dr. but he left the area. I'm from wise county. I'm hunting for someone within a 50 mile radius... the ptsd and agoraphobia are the hardest things to find a good one for...

Dr. Olmstead in Abingdon. He is a good psychiatrist & has a ton of experience. You can probably get more info if you google his name. I used to go to a psychiatrist in Wise, but I wouldn't recommend her to ANYBODY!! It sounds like you have had a tough time. The agoraphobia is debilitating at best. I don't have it but I have read quite a bit about it & I have a close friend whose son suffers from it. He won't even go through a drive thru. He has a job & is married but he struggles a whole lot. Good Luck.

Damn I hate to show kindness in this forum, but Goodgirlbadgirl, I hope you find an affordable way to get suboxone, and also that you keep on the right path.

You're worth it! Addiction truly sucks, and I wish you every success!

OK, we now return you to your regularly scheduled program....

From the bottom of my heart thank you Mrs. Witkins. I am still going to my Dr & still working on detoxing off the suboxone, too. I was amazed by the fact that once I really spoke w/my doctor about the price he was willing to work with me as much as he felt he could. I have never failed a drug test or been short when he has called me in for count so he wants to keep me as a patient & help me finish this detox. Then, hopefully I will be completely free of all medicines forever :)
Again, thank you for the kind words. Have a happy day!

You have a happy day as well! Sounds like you are working on a plan B and/or C, which is great if your plan A falls through. Always better to have backup plans - jonesing is definitely not fun!

OK, this niceness is killing me! Time to go kick a cat or something...
