Gentle Family Dentistry on Lee Highway between exits 7 and 10. They really are gentle. Both Dr Jessup and Dr Amburguey are great. I've been going there for 8 years and the only complaint I have is that the front office staff doesn't always know what they're doing. The care you get in the exam room though is first rate.

please whatever you do don't go there! Prices for simple procedures are sky high without insurance. It' s a bit of a drive but Dr. John Popper in Kingsport is in my opinion the best place to go.

I had insurance and to get a tooth pulled was $378 after the insurance paid their part, which is ridiculous.

I recommend Dr. Anne Johnston in Abingdon. Some of the fees are high, but she truly cares about her patients and seems to be available after hours and on weekends. She's cute, too, and there are lots of antiques in her office.

Her antiques show thAt she charges way to much for simple procedures. My best friend goes to her and yes she is available for phone consults on the weekends but it cost her almost $400.00 for a tooth to be pulled and that was without any sedation. However, she does seem to be nice. Just be prepared to pay a lot even when you have dental insurance.

DO not go to Dr Jessup I was going there and had insurance. Their prices are sky high. Then the office staff had the nerve to tell me I was lying that I had called them and had an appointment canceled for a filling. When I showed up for the cleaning the very next day I got a nasty letter in the mail telling me I would be charged if I missed another appointment which I did not I was there. I wrote a long letter and attched the letter they sent me and told them to basically shove their letter and take my name out of there. So now I am on the hunt as well for a dentist. Someone told me to go to Dr Brown on Main St.

Yeah, ever since they moved to Bristol and the pretty new building they're all about the money. They have you pay first before going to the exam room and the 2 young kids in the front office will charge whatever they want to get you out of the way. They overcharged me for a crown last year and still haven't refunded my money.

Meadowview Family Dentistry in Kingsport! The staff
is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Kendra Francis
is very professional and does a wonderful job.
She will give you a game plan and doesn't pressure you to do anything beyond your budget or needs. All medical and dental procedures are like everything else does seem higher than they should be, but overhead is so high. I complain about groceries every week!

Ive been a patient of Dr Jessups for many years and couldn't be happier with the care I get. Nothing has changed since moving to Bristol from Abingdon. There will always be times when people get mad at the employees collecting the money. My suggestion is find out what your part will be from your insurance company yourself!! They have lower prices than any of my friends dentists and all I know is that the care given by those working in your teeth is top rate, the hygienist I have is overly helpful and does a great job and I cannot complain.

First, I do agree that the hygenists and the assistants are great. I take issue with your comment implying that I don't know what my insurance company pays. My dental plan pays 60% for crowns, and I've verified this several times. Even had the insurance company on a 3 way call with the office manager at Dr Jessups office. She has actually admitted that I was overcharged, but is telling me that she "has the accountants to answer to" if she issues me a refund.

Might as well get a pair of plyers or go to the Three Stooges Dental Office, Dr. I. Yankum. The dentists around here are subpar, at best, and the ones who aren't complete failures will rob you blind by overcharging. There's a reason there are floods of people seeking free dentistry each year in SouthWorst Virginia!
