Darlin, let me introduce you to 2012. You can find out nearly EVERYTHING you want to know about any court case online. The County posts it. I was just saving you from looking it up. They will most certainly tell you if there are any charges or not if you make a phone call. It's not secret KGB goings on, it's all public records.
You can type in any name of any person and any County in VA and you can find out if there have been charges, the outcome and if there are any charges pending. All with a few keystrokes.
Nothing nuts about that. That's just how things have been for probably the last ten years.
Nothing is done in secret, except maybe an investigation but I've read posts here where people claim to know about taped confessions and signed statements and other articles of evidence that haven't ever been introduced in court. So who knows about those things but I can assure you that charges are not private matters, anyone willing to make a call or pull up a website can know this information.
Wrong & ridiculous again "been praying" the charges were concerning a minor EVERYONE knows that is ALL confidential information.

Charges are either charged or not, there is no such thing as a "pending charge" in our legal system. There are charges that have not yet been adjudicated and those are related to stalking. Not the original sexual charges.

I didn't say one or the other, I said BOTH can be done. I am not a "PRICE" have never been a "PRICE" have never been married to a "PRICE" nor related in any way to a "PRICE".

Just because some people choose not to hang onto gossip and name calling and choose to rely on FACTS and have a decent grasp of how the judicial system works in our Country you seem to want to be suspicious of them.

Knowledge of how things actually work with the legal system is a helpful tool. Much more helpful than gossip.

I can recognize that some people will always believe anything they hear and will make their judgments accordingly. I don't live anywhere near this small town and am exempt from any gossip about this case. I rely on what has actually occurred in the legal realm for my information. Why that seems unreliable to some is beyond me.

Food for thought. Did you know the age of "consent" to have sexual relations is 17 years of age (the age this was supposed to have taken place in the original complaint) in the Commonwealth of Virginia? Those who are hell bent on believing that a sexual relationship occurred tell me where the crime is IF it did happen?

It's over with, accept it or not. I'm tired of name calling and hatefulness from a few here. You are no better than the ones you claim to want justice from.

There is "no age of consent if it is unwilling". Unwilling gets rid of consent! I'm just saying.

Or...novel idea there are NO VICTIMS to come forward. This can hardly be called "swept under the rug"! The man was arrested paraded around on in the newspapers and TV and has appeared in court numerous times. He has nearly lost his livelihood and only by the Grace of God does he stand in the pulpit today.

His family has been through hell. Do you think if there were any evidence at all that a grand jury, a secret grand jury, wouldn't have indicted him? Or that charges would have been dropped in the first place?

Believe what you want but it certainly adds up to looking like a witch hunt in a small town. Did anyone ever stop to think that it's a distinct possibility that the victim has recanted her statement?

Oh, as for Rev. John Price being intimidating? That is hysterical. I've met the man. I doubt he could intimidate a dog to sit much less a person.

Since you know all the details, do tell us, why did the young girl come forward now? Was it she finally wanted relief from this, or what? Believe me, I am not on John Prices side, so its not a trick question, but explain that, I want to see if it matches with what I have been told. Oh by the way, he tries so hard to be intimidating, but it just doesn't work with some of us. When did he start preaching again????

Some people always are looking for something that just isn't there. Refuse to believe truth if it's right in front of them.

Those here keep continually saying they KNOW who I am but you just don't.

I live hundred of miles away from this small town drama and I believe it shows you location on the posts.

So you think that I am Mr. Price and I drive hundreds of miles each way to post then return home?

Seems pretty logical to me.

As for why she came forward now or re-canted or whatever happened, I have no idea. I have only commented about the actual legal process that has happened.

Now I hear rumor (and I always point out if it's a fact or something I've just heard) that the Commonwealth is going to try to bring charges yet again in October with a new Grand Jury. I'm not sure how many times you can continue to try to bring the same charges but she sure seems determined. I don't know for fact that the Grand Jury thing will happen or not. Just rumor that she will try to get charges brought.

I don't know the girl. I have met Rev. John Price.

I'm not related to the Price family in any way.
