More and More white people in Edgewood?

Though, whats up with all the new white people in Edgewood, I've been gone about a year and a half and I can say I saw a small trickle, but then I left now Im back there are alot more white people in this area, than I've ever believed. What going on? They used to be scared to even walk thru here because of previous experiences... now they live here! Did Bel Air get to expensive? Did somebody find oil, or gold, or what? Whatever, I'm cool with White people just please dont gentrificate the area, as we all know that cost of living values rise in these circumstances...

Also, sorry if this comes out racists its just I've never seen demographics of a neighborhood metamorph in real life.
