Is Remote PC Tech Support Better Than Local Tech Support?

Im just wondering what everyone thinks about remote tech support. I've tried local tech support with so many over priced bills in the end for even a small issue as my pc being slow. So I started looking into remote tech support and one the places I found was http://www.help2pc.com . Im ready to give it a try but still unsure. I don't want to get rippped off by another tech. So what is everyone's opinion? I've talked to a few of these remote techs and they all say the main benefit to remote service is not having to take my pc into a shop and that I can watch what they are doing as they do it. Hmmmm soumds good but Im still skeptical. What do you think?
