Otter calls dogfighting 'scourge,' signs Idaho felony bill

Idaho's governor has signed a bill making running a dogfighting operation in Idaho a felony. That leaves Wyoming as the last state where such activities are still just a misdemeanor. Wyoming is considering a similar bill to toughen penalties for the practice.

dog fighting is a "sport" where dogs are bred and trained to fight each other. the dogs (pit bulls are the most famous breed but they use others to) are usually kept in poor conditions and are almost always incurably vicious. the fights are often to the death and those that survive are usually horribly scarred. when animal control cleans out a fighting ring, the dogs usually have to be put to sleep because they cannot be placed in homes without huge risks to the people adopting them.

About Gentlemen of Great Britan,and there honorable sports they brought to America.First there is "Fox hunting.....this is where a little fox just one is chashed down by a bunch of drunken idiots mounted on horse back and a few dozen hounds leading the chase.They barrel unchecked over stone walls&wooden fences.People are hurt as well as the poor Equine the dogs usally tear the little fox to bits,all in the name of sport.Then there is "flat racing where a "Baby horse(2 y.o.)is pushed past its limits with there unformed bones to pound a racetrack to see who is fastest.Some are running out of shear terror.Most end up in dog food from there injuries sustained from racing tOO young.And yet they continue to race them as 2y.os.Now this may surprise you I have a pitbull dog cross & she loves nothing more than a good fight and to tear "Aramamdillos to pieces it is in her blood,like a race horse.I say let the Pit bull fights rip it aint no different than many other animal sports involving animals.I say legalize it and the soport can then be monitored like a boxing match between men.By the way I can no longer watch after witnessing the first man to be killed in that sport before they changed the rules as a result of that incident.So what is so different about dog fightin,the dogs love it .Same as cockfightin they love it and no i aint no redneck i grew up in Ca. so Im onto snobbery.Its ALL b.S.
