There is no one group or person in charge of it all or they could simply say no more league -no more games- and PUBLICLY EXPRESS THE REASON--that the parents are unable to control themselves and act like civilized people. The kids would be mad at their parents and that is as it should be and they need to be "put out in the public" so to speak BUT I am not sure even this would change the red neck idiots !!
Something needs to be done before some innocent child or parent is hurt bad or worse happens-if it means cancelling all little league it is worth it if it prevents someone innocent (child or parent) from being hurt or even possibly killed by these IDIOTS.

First, the league doesn't have a director, each team has a director, the league is made up by the directors of each team. Second, how do you get it is the leagues fault that parents can't behave themselves? The league will surely meet and take care of what happened but the fact of the matter is that rules and policies have been set by the league for teams, coaches and parents to abide by and the league can do is enforce these rules and policies after one has been broken. The league does all it can to keep these things from happening but there is only so much they can do. The league and each team and their director take for granite that all adults involved in little league sports will do whats best for the children and of course this is not the case. It's a shame that the adults cause so many problems for the children. I can promise you the "league" will handle this problem as they do all others but the fact of the matter is until there is a problem there is nothing they can do. Just remember when you are on here bad mouthing the "league" it is made up of the directors of every team so if you don't like the actions the league takes then I suggest you start by taking it up with the director of your team because he has as much say so in any policies made as anybody else.

Your an idiot! Dennis Baldwin is the LEAGUE DIRECTOR! He is in charge of the league, then every individual team has a director as well. When your coaches require accountability and respect, the fans and players will follow, simple as that. The teams that are well coached don't have these issues because they lay down the law from day one. You threaten that their kid won't be able to play and they will be banned, you get results.

No the idiot would be yourself! Dennis Baldwin is the president of the league and the league is made of of the directors of each team. Dennis' only job is to enforce the rules made by the league witch is the directors. Dennis doesn't get a vote on anything, none of the board does only the directors. Before you get on here spouting off you should probably do some research. Dennis will do his job and go by the rules set forth by the league and handle the altercation that happened Sat. As I said Dennis can't solve your problems he only makes sure the rules set forth by the teams directors (the league) are upheld. Dennis doesn't make the rules the directors do so if you see have a complaint about the league then take it to your director and he can take it before the board if he feels he needs to. Better yet, since you seem to know so much, get involved. I'm sure you can put your name in the hat and possibly be nominated as an officer or even the director of your team next year. Mabey if you were a part of the board of even the president of the league these problems with disrespectful parents and hot headed spectators would no longer be a problem. Mabey you have a an answer. Under your control just mabey everyone can get along and realize that the big picture is not who wins a little league football game or how much their son got to play and realize that these kids are out here to learn much more. These kids learn sportsmanship, respect, how to be a team player and leadership and how to win and loose. It is evident by the way some of the adults are acting that they have to learn it somewhere they aren't seeing it within their own families.

As I said your an idiot, you just agreed "Dennis is over the league"!!!! "He can't solve problems he can only enforce the rules?" Jesus Christ your a moron. How are problems solved? Oh that's right, by enforcing rules. You are honestly blind if you think he doesn't have a say in what rules get set and obviously what rules get upheld. My god did you graduate from high school? You just said exactly what u were arguing wasn't true. I said Dennis is over the league, u said no he's not he's "the president of the league" what the h ell do you think a president is? now as far as everything else you said goes, I completely agree. Football is about much more than just the game and some of these parents don't get that, they are teaching their children the wrong things. I hate to tell you but your wrong if you think the board isn't the issue, I may be able to change a few things as a director of a team, but nothing will change until the board changes their views. And I hate to tell you, but I know Dennis and he's part of the issue, this entire league cares more about winning than teaching the kids about the value of the game. directly on the minutemen's application it says we will only take so many 7 year olds because we want 8-9 yr olds. They don't want a bunch of 7 year olds because every child HAS to play and they care more about winning then allowing kids to play!! That is SAD!!!!!!!!! No child should be turned down, period end of discussion. If they want to play they should be allowed to play. But that's this leagues issue, they could care less about the children. They're more concerned about winning.

If that is what is sayes on the app for the minutemen then take it up with the director. I agree, children should not be turned away. As for your name calling you are no better than the fighting parents. You just can't explain things to some people. Dennis is president, the league is run by the board, the board is made up of the directors of each team, Dennis is not a director of any team and he has no say so over what the directors bring to the table to be voted on nor does he have a vote. If changes are going to be made in the rules of the league it has to be done by a director. The board is not the problem it is the people the board has no control over, the parents. The board can't make a parent behave it can only put punishments in place so that when a parent or anyone else gets out of line that a punishment can be handed down. Dennis is the overseer of the board of directors. He makes sure all rules are followed that the board puts in place. Dennis can't change anything unless the board puts a rule or something in place and then him and the other officers can enforce it. None of the officers are directors so as I said the directors have the power. By blaming Dennis you are shifting the responsibility somewhere it doesn't lye. Parents need to behave and if they don't the team and it's director should take care of it if this doesn't happen the the board gets involved. The fight on Sat. had nothing to do with the board. Had these parents fighting been giving there team trouble already this year or was this the first sign of trouble? These teams and their directors have first hand knowledge of the trouble makers within there team and they need to be delt with before something like this happens. Please don't think the board is the answer to all of the problems, the board is not at the practices, the board can't see a problem brewing for a team. It is the responsibility of each team to police themselves and then when that fells the board steps in. There is nothing else that can be said to help you or anybody else see how this all works and I think that people are going to just say what they want to say and blame who they want to blame and nothing else will change how things are seen to some people.

I agree, the board, or team directors, should only appoint coaches that are well informed that this won't be tolerated, then it should be made clear to the parents by the coaches that there will be no warnings, if an issue arises they will be banned from all practices and games, and if they don't like it their child will have to find somewhere else to play. I assure you this was not made clear at the beginning of the season and if it was made clear to all parents that this wouldn't be tolerated it would stop most of the garbage. If you threaten that their kid will not be able to play they shut their mouths.

OMG..please just let it go! Unfortunately, there are idiots everywhere! You can't blame the league, the coaches, or the teams, you just blame the idiots that don't have enough common sense and respect to know how to act around children. My child played for the Minutemen and I can assure you they don't condone any of this, just as I know most of the other teams don't either..ban the people responsible and stop placing blame on everyone else! Let the kids play ball in peace this year!!!!

Wasn't there but can guess that the fans were not in the area their teams were. If fans would stay on the side of the field with their players, a lot of this trash talking would stop. One of the reasons this stuff happens is somebody offends someone, words fly, people get irritated, say something back and the battle is on. Just stay on your side of the game and keep your opinions and foul language to yourself! Going to concession stand is not the same as going to the opposite side of the field and mingling with opposing fans. Remember parents, you are the adults in these situations and need to set the examples.

So sad that this happened at a little league ballgame, but it wouldn't have mattered if it was at the grocery store, or maybe at church, because god know no one is going to stand by and let anyone, white, black, blue, or brown disrespect and cuss their family. There was many who asked for that to stop before it got to the fight. You back beagle in to a corner and keep tantilizing him he will bite you. As far setting an example it just shows sometimes you have to stand up for yourself no matter what the odds.
