Horse struck by car in Abbottstown

A horse standing in the middle of the street in Abbottstown Saturday was hit by a car, according to Eastern Adams Regional Police.

Horse? Come on, couldn't he see the thing in the middle of the afternoon? Brakes didn't work? Going to fast or talking on the cell phone!! Ahhh....

I was told that when something is still in the road that we are responsible as drivers to have control of our car. How fast was he driving? If the horse jumped in front of him that is another story. If the horse was just standing there then he is at fault. I hope the horse is ok and I'd like to know.

Wow-If that horse jumped that must be some horse. I heard the dude thought it was a deer so he aime dfor it thinking it would run off into the woods. Oops - mybad.
