Skate park: East Berlin Sk8ters raising funds

I think this is a great idea the kids need some were to skate maybe if they had a park there would be less complaning from people its about time people stop and think about doing something to help with what they call a real problem instead of nagging all the time. It seems to me people dont really no what a real problem is if there calling kids on skate boards one. Crazy maybe you just have to have a boy to understand.

Great idea ,,,you kids go for it,,,,,Do a door to door fund drive,,,,,Talk to Mike Grim ask for his help he will go to bat for you guys,,,,just ask him to PLEASE be on your side in this. Maybe these boys could put jars in the local businesses to collect donations! I'm sure they're good kids but people just don't know them.

Maybe the people nagging can chip in and help...or maybe they just like something to complain about ;-)

Why not East Berlin join forces with the Hanover group or the Hanover group join East Berlin, East Berlin and Hanover and whatever else close town wants a skate park...join forces and be one.
Then you can raise way more funds and work for one cause instead of each town trying for the same thing. If all become one it will be a reality hopefully faster and it will be easier.

I to think that this is a great idea! I would like to see Hanover get a skate park to. I get tired of the old NAGS accross the street from me yelling at the kids. They dont do anything wrong, at times are loud but really they are having fun.They are not hurting anyones property or cars, they are fun to watch.I REALLY hope this works out for all of you....BEST OF WISHES

I think its a great idea, I have a 14 yr old son and he is a very well behaved child, good grades in school,shy. He and his friends use our drive and culdasac to skate we have 2 rails and a ramp for them. I love watch and take photos and videos of them getting out there and enjoy themselves, doing all thier flip kicks and such, I think the people who appose these kids should be ashamed of thierselves, these kids who love to skate or any other child out there who wants to be a kid, these days. Surrounding communities are taking thier child hood away from them. Im from Abbottstown and I would love to join this group into helping get the skate park up and going and Im sure my son and his friends would help as well.

The boys are just having fun in the summer. Skating around the town will not hurt people at all. They are smart kids and they love to sk8 for life(maybe) they are just hanging around because there is no school right now and that is their hobby. They are also tired of people complaning about them. So they wan to built a skate park and then people will not be mad at them. But u guys as a community will not help raise money for them to built the skate park.

If alot of us would know how to help yous out I'm sure you would get a good amount of help.Not everyone is ignorant. Some people on my street are rude to kids skating and yet they are against the park. Maybe they are jealous of the talent the kids display.Those kids have always been respectful and still have not had problems with them destroying property.And yes I do stick up for them when they are being harassed by "adults" for NO reason.
