Taking candy from a baby: A consortium of Chinese and American companies goes to Washington and announces plans to build a $1.5 billion windmill farm in West Texas using $450 million in U.S. Stimulus funds, which will create 2,330 jobs - " 2,000 of them in China.A The baby - " Washington -- doesn't cry or whine or spit in the consortium's face.

The US is already sending their tax dollars to china...in loan repayments and interest...why worry about a couple hundred thousands more...?

I am sure that the 500 or so Americans being denied a job will be truely grateful for this political posturing. And I am also sure that Americans would all prefer to have a power station churning out carbon dioxide or radioactive polution than to submit to a Chinese investment in clean power in America.

I know I'm dumb but if $450 million is coming from the US bail out the rest is coming from China. But since the bailout if only possible because the US has Chinas money in bonds I thought that would mean all the money is coming from China from the money thee US owes. The other thing to consider is who else but the Chinese are creating jobs in the US in the last year? Now would not be a good time to bight the hand that is feeding!

If only it were as easy as that. When China causes the dollar to depreciate then the RMB suffers as along with China's dollar investments. There is a limit to the amount of damage they are likely to do and they may well choose another more subtle way of registering their displeasure such as voting against an American resolution in the UN.

No, you are thinking of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.

See the history of Jiang's rise for more details. He was quite well-known for his gifts and flattery to wives of senior CCP officials. The ability to tastefully devide loot is highly prized in the gang of thieves called the CCP.
