Trashcans don't belong in the road. There is an ordinance against this. No damage to vehicle or trashcan. At least when it was clipped it slid to the shoulder making it safe for other drivers. Describe what u mean by drive like shit need specifics. Because he has a clean driving record no at fault wrecks. And clipping a trashcan illegally placed in the road where there is no damage is not an at fault accodent

Why was the task force called out in that incident. I see wrecks with totalled vehicles and APD handles it. No sobriety test was given so maybe were they just there to harass the driver. They kept asking the same questions over and over. Maybe they need hearing aids. They were very rude. One is now in trouble over the gun raffle scam which is a lot worse than hitting a trashcan so the so called good guy will now probably be charged with felony theft and fired Don't get your info from someone like that. He will lie just like he did with the raffle Why don't you talk about that since it is a lot worse than clipping a trashcan at about fifteen mph

Quite frankly, I agree with you.
They don't belong in the road or the shoulder of the road. They should be placed in an appropriate place or picked up as soon as possible. When I'm forced to enter the roadway on my bike because my right of way is blocked , I kick everyone I see into da ditch !!

In front of City Bar yesterday an idiotic Maurice cop going about 70 plus hits and kills Abbeville police detective Stan Suire's father. He was chasing a car going a few miles over the limit. I don't know why this cop LSP and VPSO officers all drive like maniacs sometimes going over 100 mph LSP officer ran a stop sign a few years back almost killing Mr Jones. It is common knowledge howLSP office Delino drives VPSO officers haul ass going over 100. Nothing happens to these drag racers. Let's hope Stan files suit to hopefully make police officers obey traffic laws except when a felony is involved. Caught on camera at city bar
I'm sorry, some people want to turn every thread into a Dawn Marcelle slug fest to distract us from the truth.

This accident was a most unfortunate one. One man was left dead and an officer was hospitalzed. Facts are that the officer had his lights and siren blaring while traveling in the left lane. Mr Suire's own son admitted that his father had hearing loss on the left side and couldn't hear the siren while he crossed two lanes of traffic into the officers path.

We can only assume that the officer in pursuit was just as surprised as the rest of us when PaPa Suire left the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection.

Stan, himself, acknowledges the facts and has forgiven the officer who was working in the line of duty.

Leave it to a few Topix hounds to turn a tragedy into a slug fest of rumor.

We don't really need you to explain for us. We live here we know alot that you don't know. Do you know Stan well enough to call him by his first name? Like you are his friend? You could give a shit.

Excuse me, but this thread isn't about me.

As far as knowing the facts, this thread sure is full BS and distraction.
Thanks for filling us in with nothing but your guesses.

You really are insane . Your lack of real knowledge lets your mind run wild. I feel so sorry for you. How lonely you must be. I think I will stay far far away from you.

But did you know in Louisiana that carries over to their personal vehicles, also!
Never could understand the reason for the priviledge of law enforcment having the right to illegal tint(5%) in their personal vehicles.
thats pretty basic. bad guys like tint to hide illegal activities. Normally, there is no illegal activity going on in a cop car. I cant understand what kinda fool would want dark tint, cant see shit at night.

C'mon, Woody,
You're the windshield expert.

Tell us all about light refraction and the tints used by professionals. Or does South Louisiana Glass only cater to the druggies on their payroll? Tee Gasson must be so proud of your knowledge.

policemen are not opted to wear their seatbelt. whenever they are chasing someone and the person bails it easier for them to just stop the car and jump out rather than have to take a seatbelt off and take the chance of it getting caught in the stuff on their belt taking valuable time away from catching a perp. most wear them but some dont bc of that reason among others.
It's the law they have to wear their seatbelts just as every other civilian does, however do they all? Obviously not. When's the last time a Maurice Police officer had to jump out of the car and run after someone?

The last time would have been when Timmy fell down the well. So, it was around the early '60's, I think.
