It's a terrible tragedy, MrsC!
A horiffic crime. It's very humbling knowing people will have to deal with this. Particularly at this time of the year.
My thoughts are with your loss as well.

Get used the idea of giving help to the acute mental breakdowns which are practically impossible to predict in these events.
You should also consider the same for the long term mental issues you possess.

All you can think about is a personal agenda. Your agenda, forever, it seems. You can say anything and believe yourself.
A basket full of groceries. A donation to fantasy flight.
You don't even have the compassion or understanding of a normal human being to understand this thread is not about your wishes or beliefs. It's about an emotional tragedy for an entire nation!!!!!
You send no condolences or sorrow for these people.
You are an extremely benign and callous human being.

It is not guns its people. Two kids beat to death right here 20 miles from our front door. This is just getting too crazy. Special place in hell for these so called people.

Excuse me,
My heart broke today with this news.
Another MASS SHOOTING taking innocense away from our World. Not only by stealing the lives of those children, but also stealing the innocense from those children who lived through the horror.

Not just anyone can build a bomb that would kill 30 people in under five minutes. Only a gun can do that while the insane stay under the radar.

I'm tellin' ya. Get ready to talk some serious gun control policies in this country.

Kinda late for all that now.
Maybe we should go back to the old days. He could of stabbed even more to death and nobody would have ever known and he even might of got away. You dum

I think I get your point and if it's that this tragedy will be used to further that agenda (gun control), I think you're right. I think they're wrong if they think that "gun control" is the answer, in fact, I don't believe that anyone who's given this any serious thought really believe that it would prevent this kind of horror. But I do believe that there will be those who will try to use this as a method to attack the 2nd Amendment.

No.
The swat team was there inside ten minutes.
No crazy person with a knife or hatchet could kill 30 people on this agenda.
Only a gun can do that.

And I should add, that anyone who uses a tragedy to further a personal agenda can't have much of a conscience.

Using your logic, we should ban alcohol because alcohol related accidents are one of the leading causes of deaths on our highways.

It's not the alcohol, nor is it the gun, it's people making poor choices that are responsible.

It took a little more time to load but our government killed millions in your beloved nuclear polluted japan with two bombs. Kind of ironic they're sending their nuclear disaster straight to the northwest. Look at at Syrian situation. They do all their killing with bombs and missiles.
You can't statisticly associate a random firearm event, no matter how horrible with the effects of even the most primitive Improvised explosive device. They are two worlds apart.
That is unless you're one if the many veterans who have lost a limb or two.

Criminals will always find ways to obtain guns. Legally or illegally.
Citizens must always maintain the right to purchase and excercise their right to own AND protect themselves with firearms.
...the question is... Will we be able to purchase the ammunition? At any price....
Look beyond the arms issue.

The time is irrevelent. So is the method!
The man was dead by a self inflicted wound.
The swat teams' response was also non relevent to saving ANY lives!

I agree and can tell from your post that you're connecting the "dots"; that you see the bigger picture Woody. It appears that there's an agenda, where the goal is to disarm the citizenry. Whether it's accomplished outright, by banning weapons or indirectly, by controlling access to ammo and effectively making the weapon useless isn't important, because the goal is accomplished either way.

I didn't say BAN guns. I said gun CONTROL. If you want to own a gun you better be subjected to a thorough back ground check. You better have a safe if you got anyone living in your home who is a jouvenile or has a sketchy history with a rap sheet where they have history of threatening another with a knife or any other weapon. If you have a history of drug abuse you better have proof that you have been rehabilitated. Even then, you better have a safe if your husband or children who are allowed into your home have a history of drug abuse without proof of rehabilitation. That includes alchohol or any legal drug that they or you abuse.

You can't keep a gun behind your truck seat like it's a baseball bat.

You keep that gun on your person and under control at all times or else you don't have the right to own one.

How many people can you kill in ten minutes without a gun?
Yeah, the guy was on a suicide mission...with a gun.

Non relavent is your own admission. If that guy had only a baseball bat or a knife or even a hatchet 18 kids could have ran to safety today. Instead, the nutcase had a gun. Legally, he had a gun.
