FYI. In yesterday's post, I failed to mention that Assistant District Attorneys Laurie Hulin and Stan Hardee, along with Ted Ayo do have courtroom prosecutorial experience in 15th Judicial Court criminal proceedings. Also, yesterday, while at the Lafayatte Parish Clerk's Office, two Vermilion Parish attorneys and a Vermilion Parish Abstractor mentioned the name of former Assistant District Attorney Bart Bellaire as a possible candidate for judge. I have always heard that the only political position that Bart was interested in running for was 15th Judicial District Attorney.
LMAO, nothing but a greasy hair monkey!
Why is he former ADA? Hot, hot, hot, had to get out of the kitchen! Let him run, the bones will fall out of his closet!

Today, a local Vermilion Parish attorney mentioned a couple of names for the Judge's race in 2014. Names mentioned today were Ronny Melebeck and Gabe Duhon. Has any Topix followers heard of these people being interested in running? Does anyone of their qualifications and background?

I don't think so,,, huh... Not enough experience... Just my opinion... We need an older person who has a Big chip on his shoulder, who wants to not give second chances! Ok I know someone 3 rd DWI they were giving him house arrest 4 weeks and he's still not on house arrest! His probation officer has been busy! Wtf? He has time to get 2 more violations, or kill somebody on the road.
And himself

Laurie Hulin all the way. She is an effective Assistant D.A. having successfully representng the State of Louisiana in significant criminal cases. Despite her age, she is considered one of the 15th Judicial District's best prosecutors covering Vermilion, Lafayette and Acadia Parishes. She is very well respected in courthouse circles. By the way, Ted Ayo will definitely NOT be a candidate for judge in 2014. This came from the horses mouth.

I heard Nathan Granger is taking a crash course in Law, he wants one more crack at beating Jonathan Perry. He got more money to spend this time. He even got the work boat ready for the commercial.

If Laurie Hulin enters the 2014 judicial race, she will defintely be the front runner. And it does not matter whether Jonathan Perry enters the race or not. A buddy of mine claims that Senator Perry will be the front runner if he enters the race. That is his opinion but I simply do not agree with that assessment. Laurie Hulin is VERY POPULAR amongst the courthouse gang. And whether the parish electorate likes it or not, this group exerts strong political influence. Along with Vermilion Parish female voters who are really beginning to embrace the idea of parishwide female elected officials and also taking into account who her father and father-in-law are, this will make her a formidable judicial candidate. I do not know anything about her political skills, so that could well factor into the political equation. That being said, Laurie Hulin will have a huge impact in this race, should she decide to qualify for judge.

I was wondering the same thing. Having a musical background I couldn't help but think the answer to your question might be:
TK Hulin and Smoke.

I will never understand why certain people on Topix cannot stick to the thread at hand. There is an old adage that says that "Everyone wants to be a comedian". I know that Laurie Hulin's father is Jewitt Hulin who was Secretary Treasurer for the Police Jury. Her father in law is former Tax Assessor Mike Langlinais. Hopefully, this answers the last two questions posed on this thread. As for Mitchell, hopefully you are better at music than you are at comedic wit.

Well, thanks for answering a legitimate question.

Didn't Langlanais give favors to his rich supporters by assessing those mansions on the river at a ridiculously low values? I think Mitchell is what these discussion forums call a troll.

It wasn't a personal attack. Tk is prolly way more well known and popular than mr. Jewitt and the original post indicated "well-known" relatives.
It's ok though. You can attack and ridicule me. I've been here so long I don't

First of all, I am still waiting to see who qualifies for next years judgeship. Therefore, I cannot and have not made a decision on whom I will vote for. I was only responding to a previous post as to who is Laurie Hulin's father and in law. Secondly, what does T.K. And Smoke have to do with a 15th Judicial District Judgeship election? By invoking the names of these two individuals, it seemed to me that you were making a mockery of this thread. That is just the way that I interpreted your post. Last of all, please explain to me how my post can possibly hurt other potential viable candidates? DO TELL.
