It looks like Fred Hoyt is up to it again. Anyone seen the Meridional Sunday? Fred Hoyt is doing the same thing that he & others did with the libraries. This time he signed his name!! The library tax failed the first time and the voters voted later to renew the tax to keep the libraries open. That is why the libraries are still open!! The open letter to the libraries was the same as this letter today. I have questions Hoyt states! Why doesn’t Hoyt ask the General & get the answers. Why does Hoyt write like it is a big secret and he can not get the answers. It is the same type of letter that Hoyt has again written in the paper. Mr. Hoyt ask questions, pick up your phone, and then print both the questions and answers. Only the subject has been changed to protect him from having to pick up his phone and get the answers!!

Hoyt knows his questions have been answered. This is his way of bringing attention to himself. He does not have the guts to say vote for or vote against the tax. this way after the election he can tell us 'I told you so".

All of Mr. Hoyt's questions have been answered previousltly. Mr. Hoyt's question regards to leasing the hospital was answered in the Police Jury presences at the Police Juror meeting. No lease offer has had been presented and neither the Board nor its administrator has received a request for them to evaluate. He was also present when the board spokesman told the Jury, the people in attendance and the press - that no board action would be taken unless the public requested them by ballot to consider such a proposal. Further such considerations would be advised based upon specifications which would protect the public investments and workers. The Board is completely right in its actions. We should support them for keeping the Foxes out of the hen houses. Look back 40 years what happened to all the for profit hospitals in Vermilion Parish. They abandoned the people because they would not spend the their own funds to meet Medicare, Medical,State and Federal Requirements. You own a court house with many facilities you rightltly support them, but Lawyers don't manage these facilities. Vote yes and you win, Don't listen to people who would want you to let someone steal a $37,000,000 Facility and it's modern up to date MRI, C Scan, and Ultrasound.

What concerns me is the amount of money we are putting out for labor VS other hospitals the same size. I have noticed employees talking to friends and family, not working. If Fred is correct, cutting the labor to where it is supposed to be would eliminate the need for more taxes. Please respond if Fred is correct.

Has he ever run a hospital before? He was against the libraries because he & others did not like the way the libraries were being run. So let's close them. Now it is the same thing. Do not pass the tax, all he wants to do is fire a few people. All he wants is the attention. Does he plan to run for Home Rule Charter president? he has the answer for everything. Just vote no & the hospital will close. Same old bull s--t

but i do know that fred has a vested interest in the new doctors' hospital on la. 167, which could be a reason why he wants the tax to fail...he won't say that in an advertisement...

Fred voted for every tax as a Legislator but he is against this one...hummmmmm the only tax he voted against was the tobacco tax ...oh i forgot he owns a tobacco store or stores... He also support the Stelly Plan that put taxes on the working people of Vermilion.. Look at old meridional articles about 5 years ago and you will see where he was supporting the Const. amendment... So there is a reason he is against it he probably has a financial interest somewhere Although I think that the Board should hear from both the management group and lourdes concerning the potential lease agreementment that could benefit the citizens without taxes... GOOD LUCK TO ALL

Fred's statistics are incorrect he includes benefits and the salaries of physicians who are hired for the rural health clinics who provides local service for the people of Vermilion Parish. Ask the patients at Maurice if they like the Rural Health Clinic there. Ask the young mothers who want their babies delivered here who provides the outstanding young OBGYN service here. Ask all the Diabitic Patients and Kidney Patients how convient it is to have Dr. Melissa Harrington working here. Isn't it nice to have a Kidney Specialist here. Most of these physcians were recruited here and a large percentage of them are children of Vermilion Parish. The state and nation is moving to the medical home concept. The management of AGH is leading the way to prepare the district to be a part of prevented care not just to treat the effecs. Attend a forum and learn what this all about. Think about what trickle down economics has done you and this nation. Vermilion Citizens have always rallied to a good cause and supported it. Don't let the naysayers misguide you. Listen to the employees who povide you outstanding service at AGH. They also support this district and its worthy causes. HONOR THEM VOTE YES JULY 19TH. MANY THANKS.

If Fred is correct, cutting the labor to where it is supposed to be would eliminate the need for more taxes. Please respond if Fred is correct. FRED IS NOT CORRECT - CHECK THE FIGURES WITH THE LA RURAL HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION. THE Figures Fred indicate include all benefits and the Salaries of all the Physicians who work in the Rural Health Clinics. The rules for these clinics require them to be employed Physicians. There is a period of type required before they become productive. What does this have to do with the proposal which was presented the public for July 19 election. Passing the Tax will improve the Emergency Room and its operations. It will maintain your facility and equipment as any good owner would do. The citizen's of District Two voted for and built this hospital because they wanted to control their own medical care. Not for management companies and profitees to make money on your investment then leave you high and drive. According to AGH's Bonding attorney a plan to lease or sell the Hospital would require a vote of the people. Now is your chance to save your property at a small cost and reward loyal employees with a modern faciliy and equipment. THANK YOU AGH EMPLOYEES FOR A JOB WELL DONE. CITIZENS PLEASE VOTE YES.

Fred Hoyt is smart. Whatever way he says to vote, I will listen. And, in this case, it is NO! He needs to get back into politics, because he is a lot better than what we have now.

This is his way of calling attention to himself. Fred & his buddies wanted to close all the libraries in Vermilion Parish. If Abbeville emergency room is closed & everyone goes to Lafayette, what kind of wait do you think you will have in the emergency room then? Abbeville needs to keep the hospital open. Please vote yes!!!!!!!!!!

Hire successful business owner, Fred Hoyt as administrator. He wouldn't let a business be in operation for 41 years, and not make a profit. His limit is 41 days
