First, I want to say congratulations, to the little girls who made this possible FOR their parents. Second of all...Are some of these parents really in it for the kids, or is it about themselves?!? Third....it's very embarrassing to our parish that parents are going on local news stations and radio stations and soliciting it's viewer's for money, when they should be asking them to do 10 seconds of praise to these kids!! If NVYAA (North Vermilion Athletic Association) cared anything about their players, they would be endorsing these kids, and doing everything in their power to make sure these kids are able to go and represent our Parish and State!!! Instead parents are out there hustling people for money which is an embarrassment to our community!!!! NVYAA needs to man up!!!

NVYAA has given the team more than enough money to go to Nationals !!! So direct your comment to the right people. Ask the parents how much they were given by NVYAA!!!

If the team was given enough money why are they begging for more? Is it for parents?

Well I am a member at large. NVYAA does support the team and it's coaches! They have worked very hard. The board has given them a amount to attend. But you also being a member yourself should already know this. As it was presented to the board on paper they have other expenses. Which include gas to get there, food and more. Also remember that it's in Arkansas 8 hours away.
We are proud and we do support them!! It is about the kids!!

@ Member at large... First note that I used my real name so that you know exactly who is saying what's about to be said. Second get over yourself... This has always been and always be about this amazing group of girls not the parents. Third if the community and and radio stations and news station choose to support these girls it's because they saw fit that it was a good cause not that the parents forced them to. Until your child's team wins state you have no idea of the cost To get them to nationals so don't go assuming that they r raising money for themselves. And last I'm assuming this rant is coming form a parent who's child did not make it .. Which is not these girls or there parents fault so take my advice and next time talk about what you know!!

Several facts that will not only clear this up, but hopefully cause "MEMBER AT LARGE" to think twice before looking like a complete idiot on a stupid website for whiners.

1. The girls won the state championship on Sunday, July 8th. Leaving only ELEVEN days for us to raise the funds necessary to go to Nationals.

2. The news DID "praise" our girls in an article on their website. I suggest you change news stations.

3.(And this is the one I take personally) I CONTACTED the news, radio, and as many companies as I could BEFORE the park made their generous contribution. BEFORE we had a clue how much if any we would get. It isn't the parks responsibility to pay everything for these girls. That's what all star teams have been doing since the beginning of little league Allstars!! They raise their own money. Now, with the park paying the amount they are paying, we are HUSTLING to provide gas, food, and travel expenses for the 12 families that are making this trip.

4. For calling us an embarrassment, I say take a look around. Speak for yourself buddy. Believe me when I tell you, this community has RALLIED around our kids. They have WILLINGLY given to these girls. The proof is in the pudding, your opinion is null and void.

5. Do NOT speak on my child's "behalf" or any other kid on our team. What have you done for them??? Nothing.

Now with that vein said.....you can now OPEN mouth and INSERT foot. We don't need your aproval or congratulations. We have POSITIVE people in this community to play for and represent. Find a new park!!

you hit the nail on the head. You have accomplished a lot more than Erath where they spent a million dollars. Proves to Nathan Granger you cant buy success.

I don't think she was comparing her daughters team to any other park or team because other parks do also have successful teams but your right she did hit the nail on the head!!

that was very well said Raeanne ! Let em talk!! Your daughter and her team have accomplished a lot this season and our park and community have come together to reward them by taking them to Nationals!!! And last but not least the coach that led them to this point did an amazing job. You guys should all be proud!!!

1) Congrats to these little All-Star and Coach Heather!

2)Some of you parents should be ashamed of yourselves for the trash that was posted on NVYAA facebook page, as we have CHILDREN who are "friends" of NVYAA and read the shit you all are posting. Wanna talk about embarrassing, that in itself is down right an embarrassment to the ballpark. Sometimes, the ADULTS need to STOP acting like children and making their IMMATURE comments about "meeting up" and calling people "BITCHES" It only makes you look trashy, especially on the facebook page!!

3) If it would not have been for Coach Heather, then these little girls would not have even made an All Star team. She is the one along with another parent who pushed so hard for All Star.It was these so-called board members that are posting on here, that voted not to have All-Stars for these kids and now you are trying to redeem yourselves when you had nothing to do with this TIFFANY!!! Like you care!!!You people are the ones who said we couldn't play All-Star unless we raised our own money. That is when another parent stepped in and put together a tournament to raise money!!

4)I do agree that there are parents on some of the teams, who are about trying to make themselves look good instead of the kids. I know I have seen it and it's sad!!

5)Maybe these little girls can help make a change for NVYAA

1. I agree that Heather did an awesome job with these little girls!

2. Not ALL of the board members voted against All Stars and I believe since you are a board member yourself that you know that already!!! Sooo you also should be ashamed of being a board member and then getting on topix to bash the board lol. Also your board has also stepped up and helped these girls get to Nationals so maybe keep your negativity to yourself!!!!

3. Give me an example (without using names) on how a parent that you say you have witnessed has made this about themselves. One simple example of course without using your imagination.

I'm sorry that you are frustrated that things don't always go your way but you don't have to be so bitter. God loves you :)

Well well well!!! What do we have here someone calling people out when they dont have a clue what they are talking about. It seems to me you aren't for the kids at all. I think you have some personal vendetta against some boardmembers and this site is the only way you feel good about redeeming yourself! I would suggest instaed of running your mouth about the people that care about the KIDS and NVYAA PARK to maybe give a thank you or some type
recognition for once.
