Does anyone know where to get some live crawfish besides Maxi Mart? I called there and apparently its separate businesses for live crawfish. The lady that answered the phone at the store was so RUDE! How hard is it to give me the number...I always believed they were affiliated. Sorry! I'd rather take my business elsewhere...so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I've only lived in this town for a few years and I am still not too familiar.

I will never give my business to D&T again...the owner is a real b***h! I don't see how they have any business with her nasty attitude! Now I give all of my business to T-Bobs. Always friendly!

T-Bobs will give you what you pay for. I have been to more than one seafood dealer who trys to sell you air. Yep Air. They'll have a sack with a tag that says 38 pounds. Put it on the scale and it reads 35 pounds. Then they want to whine about how they paid for 38 pounds, and it must have lost water.
So strange though, T-Bobs crawfish don't lose water. I have purchased a sack from them at least a dozen times. When the put it on the scale, it weighs exactly as the tag reads.

I was talking to a friend the other day about crawfish. We both realized that when we was young and went to Dupuis with mom and dad and brothers and sisters, that nobody ever, ever ordered boiled crawfish! That was trash out da ditch! I don't even think it was on the menu. Everybody just got the fried seafood platter or fried shrimp and fries and maybe 5 dozen raw oysters on ice on a round red platter for appetizer.

We didn't start ordering boiled crawfish at the resturant or for takeout until......5-9 years ago??

We're getting soft and settling for less at a higher prices people! Learn to boil your own dam crawfish and the prices will always be low. As it is now, dam farmers don't want to sell by the sack to us cause they done promised everything they catch to these got dam trucks with coolers that go around and buy everything up for the wholesalers. These wholesalers are then turning arounding and selling it to the resturants for high. Then the resturants are turning around and selling it to you for your first born child!

I guess back then when I was 10 yes old I didn't feel lucky getting off the bus to have to go cut bait, and help with the crawfishing,,, and on weekends having friends over, meant running the traps before going anywhere with my MOm. But now I realize I was the luckiest kid to be able to eat crawfish anytime while in season!
In those days you didn't dare short someone a few pounds! Out of the question!
