One huge one that gives short fat pecans, and 2 smaller ones that give the longer ones.

The smaller ones are about 25 feet tall and about 2 feet in diameter for the trunk.

Better go with a backhoe and a flatbed truck. That tree is probably between thirty and fifty years. Pecan trees have deep roots so you have a mighty hole to dig

Probably will not survive.... If you cut the tap root which u will, U have to patch it!
If u have never done large trees before I suggest a very small one. Good luck!

Make great firewood for next winter! Too late for this year if it's green.

Yes, pecan is great for the fireplace! I think the person wanting to give the large tree maybe should just leave it planted and let the less fortunate just pick the pecans each year! Especially at the Holiday season! Some good fudge! Oh some good Brownies with pecans in them!
Or pick the pecans sell and donate the money to women's shelter, or to a family in need. Just a suggestion

I let a poor lady pick pecans for free at my farms. She has already picked a thousand pounds. She is pregnant and will need the money for diapers. The squirrels and racoons were eating them so I shot them and gave them away to the poor people who needed food .
