You all are correct. Style Shop, Ann's Attic, and the shoe shop. The Midway was where the old El Camino's was. Thanks, everybody. I was trying to figure something out, and you all helped tremendously. My mom said the corner opposite of the old Audrey Hotel was Ardoin's drug store. If any of you are interested, go to values.com and click on the commercial for "Break Away". There is a split second shot of a small town. It's Abbeville, taken in the early to mid-70s. I thought that was so cool!
I could not find the commercial for "Break Away" but I do thank you for pointing me toward the values.com website. I was not familiar with it but I know I will enjoy reading and viewing material from the various categories on that site.

The commercial actually plays occasionally on TV. The message says something about "spread your wings" and plays the song "Break Away". I will double check the website again.

Awe Fred, dats sooo Nice! I myself love the song!
You should let MrsC. help decorate... If you choose this song, you could let some pretty white Doves fly out of a beautiful tall elegant cage!!
That would be pretty on a Beach with you pants rolled up! And the waves coming in, seagulls flying, barefoot with your toesies in the sand, tickling yo feet!
Lol

This is a serious question.... Does anybody know what business previously occupied the building that now houses Vermilion Office Supply in Abbeville (Back in the early seventies? Also, does anybody know if there used to be a cafe next to it that may have been torn down? I'm hoping that somebody out there might remember these establishments? In addition, there used to be a shoe store across the street, but I can't remember the name of it. Thanks in advance for helping me to solve a mystery.
