Has any of you passed and seen this so called mechanic shop on John Hardy. the place caught fire and it looks like they are working out of the parking lot. Wrecked and burnt cars are all over the place. it appears they were building a fence and i'm sure it was beacuse of complaints but now its worse than ever. what about this so called smart zone code the city has. what i heard was if you live in a smart zone the mayor has to give permission to build or add any inprovment on property that you own.How is the city allowing them to still operate and why is this not being cleaned up. i pass that way on the way to work and its a eye sore. i can't imagine what the neighbors are thinking

let me tell you one thing "Skinner" I live in a subdivision off John Hardy and have my whole life. When you have vehicles sitting on blocks and trash all around the property this does nothing but depreciate the value of the neighborhood so yes this is my freaking buisness as it is anyone who own's property in the area. Since the mid 70's there has been 3 differnt shops running out of there and never has it been so trashy. This is suppose to be a buisness providing mechanic services to the public for a fee and if so should carry a buisness license. How can the city allow them operate like this and if they are out of buisness due to the fire why are their junk and burnt cars all around the place. The city is suppose to have a ordniance in place to keep things like this from happening why is it not being enforced. second if you have time to make stupid commets like "mind your freaking buisness" take your Skinner AZZ and drive down john hardy and then tell me would you want somthing looking like this in your Neighborhood

let me tell you something , if it bothers you so darn much instead of complaining on here go complain to the mayor or mayor protemp and if you are not willing to do that then take a different route. and by the way i pass there all the time and thats not what is causing the propery to depreciate , its the people who live in that area

You ever think about giving them a hand? Maybe ask if they could use some help after the fire? You know like a GOOD CHRISTIAN.

Dude i live in that area and have been for the past 45 years its not all the people who live here, its the new arrivals it used to be a nice clean area unfortunately lately its starting to look like crap. im not one to complain to the city due to retaliation but i need to agree with curious I live in what they call a "smart zone" I cant make any home improvements or additions unless I get permission from the Mayor to do so... and then I look down the road and say "wow really"

being a good christian has nothing to do with the problem at hand. prior to the fire they had junk cars and even and old VC Bus outside it literaly looked like a salvage yard. now its still the same only worse.

A friend of mine told me today that you should move that eye sore boat with the flat tire from the side of 167, before worrying about others.

You better bring a police officer with you. For your court case. They are going to do crap but laugh at you.
