Ya, it sounds like a lot of things are holding her down, even if you can't see the actual "hands" that are doing it. Doesn't make it any less real.
yup. it's a chicken or the egg conundrum. perfect storm of events, and she's not sick enough, broke enough, single-mother-of-dependent-chi ldren enough or criminal-record-having-enough to get real help. she is one of the ones who is falling through the cracks of eligibility for all sorts of assistance.

I've got news for you, lady. Being married to you, your husband is already SUFFERING PLENTY.

the odd thing is that she used to, but once her addiction issues came up, the stuff like this isn't working out... i think most of it was word of mouth, and through the church she used to go to.
so much for hate the sin, love the sinner... plus, it was more her husband's church, so he's poisoned the well, so to speak. hubby & i have taken issue with other things the church & some members have done, so we think she's better off without "those people".
Wow. She's absolutely better off without them. I hope she finds a better support group for starters, and gainful employment somewhere along the way.

Lw1: Possible alcoholism aside, this bitch would drive me nuts. We have a couple married friends that had a baby. The wife initially stayed home while the husband worked. Meaning he needed to get a good night's sleep. She was the one waking up in the middle of the night for feedings. Naturally, he slept through them. She resented that he was not experiencing the same misery and told us that she would purposely passive aggressively slam cabinets and make other noise to disrupt his sleep so he would feel her pain. We were like wtf? Do you not understand that he has to make it in to work in the morning?!? He just silently grimned ear to ear as we admonished her.

i agree with you, but my friend's brother just married a girl in a wheel chair. Good for them, but I could not imagine being open to starting a romantic relationship with someone like that

It will definitely be harder, but not impossible. The female surfer who lost her arm to a shark just got married. Not sure if they were dating before her accident.

She was in a wheel chair when they started dating?

I wouldn't want that either. I wouldn't want all the restrictions that would impose.

Missing one arm is a lot different than a wheel chair. I'd be open to a woman missing an arm ... Especially if she were really, really flexible and could put her legs behind her ears. ;p
