Not me. In order to reach the publicized casualty count Syria must have suffered closer to 100,000 casualties (if not more) by now. My people wouldn't kill each other like that. The whole Hamas-Fateh conflict killed about 500 people in both Gaza and the West Bank, which isn't even close to your average civil war death count.

The US did arm one side against the other though. It is a known fact Dahlan received weapons from the US. And if the fighting had continued longer, Hamas would have probably lost. Thankfully Hamas was very swift and ended the fighting before it got out of hand.
Israel didn't interfere. On the contrary, they even made it easier for the PA to operate in the West Bank.

And Henry, if you do visit Israel, please try to visit the West Bank while you're at it. Make sure you visit the major checkpoints and crossings. Go to some of the villages in rural areas, ones that are close to settlements. Visit the old town Hebron, where a settlement has been built in the heart of the city.
And this goes without saying, but don't forget to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and the nearby museum(s). It will give you a very good taste of the Islamic identity of the city.

If you decide to visit the West Bank after all, make sure you visit Hisham's palace in Jericho, and Deir Al-Quruntal monastery, which looks like as if it was embedded into the side of the mountain.

And during your visit, don't forget to count how many checkpoints and crossings you go through.
