We've been here for hundred of years, thousands even. Yes, a lot can trace their roots back to Hijaz (NOT SAUDI ARABIA, there was no such thing as SA until very recently), Yemen, Syria. Some have Turkish roots. Others have European roots. But all Palestinians share a distinct culture and a kick-ass dialect.
Have you been to Egypt?
You want land and a state? Then come to table and negotiate. Firing rockets, harboring terrorists like Hamas won't get land, won't open doors for rebuilding Gaza into peaceful state that Israel need not fear for its own citizens. And were not only talking about people with Israel. Mumbai, Beirut twa hijacking? Entebbe? 1972 olympics massacare, achille lauro. That's only the tip of the icecap.

How recognizing Israel as a state and learn acceptance of other religions. You people only hurt yourselves by allowing terrorists to control your future. How's it working? Any new hotels, theme parks. Oh wait, sorry that's western. How about parks, schools, commerce, infrastructure? How's Hamas helped you.

Didn't Qatar just the Palestinians 450million dollars? Rockets don't build schools, nor should they be fired from schools or any civilian area. Where did that money go?

Giant bullcrap as usual from a nazislamist supporter and hammas supporter not to mention al-quaida. The West Bank is quiet cause the people live much better than all the arab shitholes all together except Dubai and some oil soaked arab places. They built factories and roads, the cities look alive with traffic and stores open with all the good stuff in them. The USa and Israel helped them to get out of the deep shit they were in, security is good and if everything looks and works ok soon Israelis will go back shopping in those areas like before and make them even happier and with much more $$$$ in their pockets. Quiet brings quiet. No, nothing is perfect but they have a much better live than in Hammastown or in areas controlled by the nazirallahs in Lebanon. Hate will bring hate annd thats what your kind is dong and the poor arabs are suffering worldwide because of assholes like you and your kind. You belong in the stone age.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't!
See? That's what I'm talking about.

Now, you tell me what the custom is because I keep hearing about this legendary Arab hospitality but every time we get a chance to see it in action, it backfires. If a host invites you into his home, provides comfort and sustinance, protects you under his security umbrella, are you not obligated to return the favor in some way? I bet Hezbollah will be forever welcome to bed down in Assad's tent.

No, no. Don't pay any attention to me over here, I don't want to be a bother. I admit he's the funny one if he admits he's the fat one.

I'm 193 and 5'11" so that qualifies me as pudgy. That reminded me of a cartoon I once saw. Three kids siting on the floor smoking a large joint and the caption below was "Johnny likes skinny girls but never could turn down a fatty". Relate?

I should probably quit but every time Faith does, she makes me think about it and pretty soon it's all about the butterflies and hummingbirds out in the garden.

She quits a lot.

It's been two years. But lately, I'm thinking of getting back on the team. It's just not as funny when I try to be all responsible.

Maybe it was a year....or 10 months. I can't remember. It was New Year at any rate. I wonder if my neighbor is home....He's one of those "caregivers".

Yeah, you'll never get that short term memory back but in keeping with Sir Isaac's rule, you'll remember obscure old trivia you never knew you knew.

Oh Uzi,TRD and I are separated by miles of rank and intelligence. No comparison. But, I bet we could take Faith and "make a wish". That's one smart she. Talk about laughs. They are peas in a puddle. I still get over Gray's plate in his head and Chinese dog killers. The girl be rocking back and forth and chuckling at the world, as we know it. The visual of her firing up a blunt after throwing the dirty dishes out, is inspiring.

Can you believe it? You finally come around to supporting Abbas's efforts and it turns out he'll be shooting all of you in the foot.

More than just losing US financial aid, the Europeans are starting to see the depth of the shortfall they will have to make-up when the US drops out of the funding pool. Every third-world country without two nickles to rub together supports the upgrade though. Who knew that Palestinians would be able to prove definitively that misery does in fact love company.

So I broke down and made the hike over to my next door neighbor's house. As I have mentioned, he is...uh...one of those "caregivers". That works out nice. I have an acute condition....I don't like to not being baked. I haven't seen him for a while. He always acts kind of stern and disapproving of me, but I know he loves me. He doesn't have any human contact since his third ex-wife left him....well, except for maybe a parole officer. Anyhow, I shrug off his aires. He has a wandering eye and a big jagged scar on his face. I never ask how any of that came to be. It isn't that I didn't want to know....But my curiosity was squelched by the anticipation of how painful it would be for me to sit through the explanation. He's got some nerve getting uppity with me. I had to move a loaded shotgun and what looked like a deer's skull out of my way just to sit down. When I said yes to the drink he offered me, he unscrewed the childproof cap off a bottle of prescription cough medicine and set it down in front of me. I'm not really a high maintenance kind of gal, but it would have been better if he had had some ice. He is one of those guys that is so into hunting that he could rattle off a reason why any animal on Earth needs to be killed. That's a little hard for me to take, but he always has great reefer and he has surprisingly good taste in music for a potentially homicidal maniac. He's good people.
So I got high.
And when I say "high"....bear in mind that I haven't smoked pot in between 10 and 24 months. You know how that goes. My body had reset itself and it was if I had never smoked before. I think I'm hooked. I'm sitting here in a dark room listening to the soundtrack from Easy Rider, wearing a pair of Ray-Bans and I have tears running down my cheeks.
Oh well. It's good to be back.
Yours, Faith XOXO
