Israel receives more military aid($3 billion a year) from America than any other country. Egypt hardly a model for secular democrac gets $2 billion a year in military aid from is second. These nations are also the two top purchasers of American military hardware. With that liberal icon of secular democracy and home to 15 of the 9/11 hijackers Saudi Arabia always very near the top in buying military hardwar from America.

Those are American weapons being used to terrorize destroy to kill and wound the Palestinians in Gaza. America once armed Saddam Hussein with WMD's and other hardware to help him kill 1 million Iranians during the Iraq/Iran war. Before that America armed the Shah of Iran. America also once armed the Taliban of Mullah Omar and al Qaida of Osama Bin Laden to fight the Soviet Union.

Guns and bullets seem to be a poor use of American largesse that ends up doing far more harm than good. Sending weapons to this part of the world clearly seems like it is not in the best long term national security interests of the United States. That America always seems to support tyrants and terror everywhere will not be missed, nor forgotten nor ignored in the Muslim world. Sowing the wind America could once again reap an Islamic whirlwind that it has already begun to stir in Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Indonesia and Pakistan.

They buy them from US, or they buy them from our enemies. If they buy them from US, we can negotiate things favorable to our country. If they buy them from our enemies, they become OUR enemies. Gosh, International relations is so complicated!

If there is one thing America is good at it's the making and selling of military hardware...If we don't sell it, you can bet your sweet ass that Russia and China will sell it to them, either way they will still get the weapons...Military hardware is but a small equation in the factor, do you think Islamic regimes really care who they buy the weapons from? They will hate us either way regardless...

LOL

I wish you'd get your facts straight when talking about US Foreign Policy since post WWII.(Actually if you want to talk about it, you need to also know a bit about the war and focus on the Casablanca Conference which had an impact on the Potsdam Conference leading to post war 40's...
)

I mean you have to figure in the Cold War politics and the proxy war where the US backed Israel, while Russia backed Syria and Egypt.

I don't want to make this more complex in discussing Iraq, Iran, Afganistan and Pakistan. There things are a bit more complex.

Lets talk about Hamas. They're being funded by Iran via Syria. Lets talk about the illegal use of unguided rockets that bombard innocent civilian targets. Shouldn't you be outraged about that? Funding violence so that legitimate governments have to protect their own borders?

Actually the Islamic militants *are* purchasing AK-47s and Russian RPGs. Ok if not Russian's, then Chinese or Eastern Europe knock-offs.

I think the US Government limits their sales to legitimate governments since the post Iran-Contra affair. ;-)

Now we have a new holocaust to talk about, this time at the hands of Israel. Their over reaction and murder targeting women and children is a moral outrage.

What I meant by Islamic regimes is countries such as Saudi Arabia and the like (they purchase our weapons)...Islamic extremists/terrorists and countries such as North Korea, Iran and Venezuela, etc. use AK's and RPG's from China and Russia...

You obviously get your "information" from Al Jazeera and/or the BBC. If the IDF killed indiscrimately like you suggest, there would be nothing alive in Gaza except for Israeli soldiers.

Get a clue, dumbass!

Children, children--please, let's stop our bickering. It all comes down to this. If all the Jew haters were Jewish, they would know just what idiots Jew haters are. Take "Turkish Doctor" for instance. It says "Peace Advocate" under his screen name. He calls Israel a monster for defending itself against its Hamas aggressors, who want to wipe Israel off the map with bombs. Turkish Doctor, thanks for proving my point that you and the rest of the Jew haters are idiots. If you had a brain, you'd be dangerous...

Not one uber-leftist, Jew hating whacko that cries tears for Gaza EVER recognizes the FACT that Hamass' Charter is nothing but a racist spew. It takes directly from "The Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion". Hamass is about nothing but the hatred and death of Jews. The Islamofacists and their uber-leftist friends are the biggest hypocrites on the planet.

Sure, if USA would not sell the weapons to them , they buy weapons from other countries or concentrate on producing weapons themselves. The only good thing would be, if they do not buy weapons from USA,(but of course bad for US-Economy), that they won´t get the best weapons and this would minimize the threat.

An explosive is an explosive. While yes, I believe in Israel's right to exist, AND it's right to defend itself I always get a kick out of people who try to whitewash the difference between Palestinian rockets and Israeli missiles and bombs. You try to spin it as though just because Israeli missiles and bombs are guided that they are somehow less indescriminate. We are talking about explosives here, BOTH sides here have used them "indescriminately".
