1. We're you abusive to your daughter? Or was someone else and you didn't do anything about it? I am just trying to figure out why she would ignore you.

My daughter is even worse than theirs. I don't even get the twice a year phone calls. And no, I never abused her. I never even spanked her. She got everything she ever wanted, including an expensive college education at a prestigious private East Coast university and a destination wedding complete with $6,000 wedding gown. I always thought she was just perfect and that I was so lucky to have her for my daughter because we were very close for 24 years. Once the wedding was over, she has systematically cut me out her life. After 10 years of this, I am just numb with grief and loss and would give just anything (but no more money) to perhaps meet together with a counselor to rebuild a mother-daughter relationship.
Any suggestions?

Work on building a life for yourself. I am sure there are lots of kids in foster care, or hospitals that would love to be showered the the love you have to offer.

Wow, you raised an entitled, spoiled brat. You can't force someone to have a relationship with you
