No, Mimi fully understands how it works what the statistics/odds are. Nevertheless, you are not a woman, so you have no frame of reference. Period. Have a XX chromosome then you can speak to this issue. Have XY, you have no idea what it's like to be XX and be always on the lookout for Schrödinger's rapist. Ergo STFU and quit speaking of your betters as if you know even one gazillionth of what I know about...anything.

Whether or not they were on a date is irrelevant. My point was, just because they have a gun doesn't automatically make them safe.

On that same token, since you don't have a Y chromosome, YOU have no frame of reference about the superior sex. So how about YOU STFU?

"Superior?" Ahahahahahaha. You understand when I said "your betters" that I meant all women (and most men) right?

I do not have a Y chromosome, this is true. I do not know what it's like to experience being a man. I never tried to pretend that I do. I do however know that all you Y chromosome people are not taught every second of every minute of every hour/day/week/month/year/etc., etc., etc., of your lives that you have to be constantly on guard for people who will potentially harm you.

Yes, we are all taught caution as children, don't get int he car with strangers, etc., but for women it's stranger danger on nuclear level steroids. Every single man i the world is a potential threat that we have to live with, watch for, recognize, and figure out before we can comfortable let anyone get close to us, especially physical closeness where our safety could be threatened.

Guys don't normally face those kinds of threats from women (as a whole) and as you said about weapons being taken away from a woman and used on her (though trust me *I* could pull a trigger before you got my gun away), there is some validity to that because as a general rule (*general*) the average man is stronger (upper body) than the average woman and so can over power her whereas the reverse is seldom true.

I don't know why I just spent the time typing this because I know you will come back with some kind of obtuse BS, but there it is, and I'm done.

Doesn't really matter. As a guy, if you are interested in dating a woman, you have to play by her rules, including waiting until she's comfortable with ya.

Some women are going to be more cautious than others. I don't know why you have such an issue with this.

My wife warmed up to immediately, but had she not, it would not have mattered to me because I know she'd soon realize she has nothing to worry about with me. The only guys who should find a woman being cautious problematic are those who a) are not nice guys and are looking for someone they can quickly take advantage of or b) are just looking for a quick hook up and don't wanna go through any sort of courtship period to prove their intentions are good and that they will treat her right.

When it comes to women in my life, including my sis, I'd prefer they err a bit on the side of caution, because you just can't be sure of a strangers intentions. If a guy isn't willing to spend a handful of dates building trust, good for the woman for having enough self confidence to kick him to the curb.

And THIS is your problem. If you're a man, you're automatically deemed evil until proven otherwise. This also makes you a man-hater. More men are killed by other men than women are killed by men. Men have a reason to be cautious as well, but I don't expect you to understand that.

It makes me no such thing. It makes me careful of my safety. BECAUSE there are so many men who ARE IN FACT dangerous, it is good policy to be cautious about men that one does not know well. Duh. How is this hard to comprehend. You want to label me, so go for it. I don't care because everyone here knows you and they know me, and I have nothing to prove.

I don't deem anyone evil. I talk to people (even men!) when I am out in public. I am nice, I smile, I'm friendly, and I occasionally engage in small talk. What I do not do is allow myself to be alone with some man who is an unproven quantity because the potential is there, he is stronger than me (so could easily over power me) and I'm just not feeling like being assaulted or killed right now. It's strictly a matter of not putting oneself in a POTENTIALLY compromised situation when it can be avoided. That makes sense...for everyone.

You are a proven quantity; misogynistic and obtuse. You are SO intent on being "right" and on everyone (anyone) else being "wrong" that you do not have the capacity to say something such as

"gee, you avoid trusting total strangers with your physical well being just as a precautionary measure...because you don't want to get raped or killed, and there are so many real life stories of that kind of thing (Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway (Green River KIller), Jack the Ripper, Hillside Strangler, etc., etc., etc.) that I understand why someone, especially a woman, might want to be a little careful until she gets to know an individual...err on the side of caution and all, yeah, that makes sense."

Nope not you. You would rather say...

"what's wrong with trusting someone you don't know who is more than likely stronger than you, who may be carrying a weapon(s) and/or a rape/murder kit in the trunk of his car...man hater...i mean really what are the odds some guy would try to force a woman, we all know there's no such thing as rape or anything and the women are always asking for it anyway so quitbeingsuchabitch and just go to deserted dark places with a bunch of strange guys you don't know, oh and make sure you "put out" because they probably bought you a coffee or something or at the very least they "let" you ride in their pos car/rape/murder mobile, but if you DO put out you're awhore..."

Do yo ever even *try* "reasonable?"

You're justifying your man hating by saying women should be careful of their safety. Bla de bla de da. You're stating the obvious. Of course women should be cautious, and I never said they shouldn't. But if you feel the need to pack heat when you meet your date, maybe you should use a little more discretion with who you're going on a date with. I mean, if you're convinced that every man who asks you out to dinner is a Ted Bundy, YOU are the one with the issue. And if you think he's a Ted Bundy, why agree to dinner with him?

Then you must not have read where you accuse women of being a man haters if they do not want a man they don't know well picking them up on the first date out of caution.

Guess not. Please show me where I did.
Or you can just admit you have no argument other than what you made up in your head...
